It was NASTY! I think I have truly turned the corner here. My brother came by and I smoked one analog out of his pack after noting how bad he smelled to me (smoker's stench). I couldn't do it. I smoked about half and threw it out. disgusting. Years ago with my old 510 I always smoked on the side, but after mt ego C I don't feel the desire. While it may be a mid-grade PV, I am grateful for it and am saving for a provari and doing research to stay smoke free. 31 years old. Already wheezing, can't breathe sometimes, anxiety even. My brother said when I was sleeping he grew concerned, he said it was like I fighting for every breath.

I live in Fargo, ND. A very cold place at times. I have a one bedroom apartment as it is just me and my dog. No balcony. I smoked in my living room. Used soda bottles with water for ashtrays. It stank. I noticed the smoke just lingering in my house. I was a cigarette hotbox. During the winter it is simply too cold to go outside to smoke either way.

Finding ecigs again I have hope. Just in these last few days I have noticed a spurt of energy and a feeling of well-being.

While I aspire to learn more about the options available to me, I am so thankful for joyetech for giving a new lease on life.

Vapor for life, hopefully! I wish all smokers the same moment of clarity.:toast:

Thats awesome, Joe! Sounds like youre moving up! Its amazing how one day the stench and everything else just turns your stomach, isnt it. Youre just like "Wow! Really? Why wasnt I smacked?" My gf kept telling me how much she liked my energy level and wanted me to stick with vaping - and I felt the energy, and had no problems sticking with vaping! Now, Im just tired from work, lol. And knowing my child doesnt have to go to school with that nasty analog stench! Wow I felt like such an ... for not doing it sooner.

I started vaping and quit smoking the same day, about 2 years ago. I kept my last pack and a half, for just in case, for about a month. I figured I'd smoke one to see if I'd still like it as much as I used to. It was so disgusting that I put it out 1/2 way through, gave my last unopened pack to someone in the smoking area I was in, and threw the 1/2 pack I still had left into the trash later that day. That was in July 2010, and I've been smoke free for almost 2 years. The thought still crosses my mind once in a while to try a cigar because I used to like them on occassion, but then I think "What for?, I'm content where I'm at, no need to go down that road again."

So did I...one of those cherry cigar cigarettes. One puff, two puffs, and I was truly shocked at how strong it was. I thought surely I'd made a mistake and lit the .... end instead. I pulled it out of my mouth to check. I hadn't. A couple more puffs and I was done. I realized at that moment that I'd barely had a clue as to how they really taste until I began vaping.

My breathing, energy level, and taste have all improved. Having a circulatory issue, I can usually mow for only 10 minutes before I hobble back to the house, out of breath, having to sit down in nearly excruciating pain until my legs and hips get enough oxygen for the pain to subside. The last time I mowed, I had half the pain, was able to mow more area, and didn't have to limp back to the house.

On a sunny day I could see the smoke hovering throughout the house. I wondered, "why bother painting or buying the chair I need? Everything is just going to turn orange and brown from all the smoke and tar." I felt defeated, and I hated it.

But now I am free of it...and will likely remain so. If I were a doctor, I'd recommend ecigs to all my patients who smoke. Perhaps not a perfect solution, but far, far better than the long, slow, suicidal poisoning which accompanies analogs.

After decades of smoking, I am amazed that all it took to break the habit were a few simple components of creative technology.

Congrats Joe, and good luck! :toast:

I did the same after about a week of vaping, fighting analog cravings the whole way, I was drinking with friends, finally broke down and asked for one, and it was well disgusting, tasted wrong, made my chest hurt, my mouth tasted horrible after, like licking an ash tray. my heart pounded I felt weak.

I still think about analogs on occasion, but have no desire for one. I feel too good to go back now,
