@PapawBrett - The B12 I take is a sublingual liquid medication (used under the tongue), and my levels have stayed well within normal range for years, taking it that way.

So, knowing how well that is absorbed and has worked...I wondered if doing that with eliquid when flying would work, too. I tried it, using 1-2 drops of my regular DIY under my tongue, during a couple of long flights. I used them about every 3 hours, and it worked like a charm! So I've done that for the last 3 trips back and forth to Alaska, and will keep doing it each time. I've had no nic withdrawl, no jitters, etc. at all. :)

You might find it to be worth a try, too. However, I personally wouldn't use 50% 100mg nic base in the eliquid. As readily as it's absorbed, I'd be very leery to use it at that strength.

I had two teeth extracted the same day. Still vaped but VERY gentle draw (minimum suction) I was fine. Also (off topic) drank beer (but through a straw... almost where it just went right down my throat) Actually (if I remember correctly) I bit down on some gauze (even after I didn't need it for the bleeding) and managed to vape... that helped. My biggest issue is the dentist only gave me Motrin (not much help... sorry but I rarely take opiates and really needed some REAL pain killers... would have switched to Motrin after a day anyway) Oral nic could be worse (not sure about that but might be worse than vaping) Hope you are doing well.

I'd stay away from drinking straws after an extraction, same issue as smoking or MTL vaping. DTL should be fine.

That's true. I just tried that - 1 ohm at 25W. Kept my lips open around my drip tip and just breathed in like I was just, well, breathing :D. No sucking. Like a really loose slipstream.

Hits well. And TH was actually a lot more pronounced than regular DL.

I have decided it is not really anything other than chance that gives you the dry sockets or not. I am also not entirely sure they exist.

I have no research behind that but I have decided it with enough DECISIVENESS it will be all over social media tomorrow.

Do what you wish. No real "winning" combinations exist. It's chance.

Also, I don't got deep sockets, ah pockets I mean but Facebook sure does. I would direct you to THEM.

They are the ones inventing the facts not me. I still believe in Archaic things like, uh gravity, and well, the fact that scientists swung from global COOLING (OMG REMEMBER the scary ice age? Still out there lurking I presume) to global warming to uh, climate change, to give Paris all your money?

Right in the middle of the end of the cooling and the start of the warming. My dad, the geneticist, sort of dreamily speculated that they would "cancel each other out."

I was young then so I would witheringly say, "Um cancel each other out EXACTLY?" He asked me what I believed in and I said the Farmer's Almanac and HE would be withering and I would like say, "There are still farmers you know."

Mainly I will now believe MOST things that don't involve PUNITIVE measures against like, the best industrialized nation of them all and also, like, don't involve no freaking.... REPARATIONS.

I'm sorry I did not invent the Model T ford dude. I'm not even FROM here. I naturalized.

OUCH I REMEMBER ALL THE FREAKING ORAL SURGERY I HAD AWAKE!!!!!! Nada BUT Advil!! QUIT WHINING. Do what seems best there is no longer a "Best." Try getting a straight answer out of a doc these days.

    Pardon. It was necessary.

Actually for good oral surgery you have to STOP all nic replacement like 6-12 months before the surgery and you will have a better outcome. Most people don't plan that far ahead, hence all the "aftercare" stuff they can tell you YOU did it wrong. Not them. When really they should be sayingng, "Quit and come back in 6 months." But dentists got to make a living too.

I just happy my dentist cares more about pain control than my eye doctor. After my tooth extraction, I got a script for #28 Norco, of which I needed just one. After my eye procedure, I got a script for #12 tramadol which didn't even put a dent in the pain. Good thing I had all that Norco.

Dentists are not doctors. Their formulary is more limited I think. You were lucky to get the Tramadol. My Oral Surgeon (is that not more like a doc? IDK Maybe they just think about all the tooth surgery that happened without Novocain even) offered me 10 mg of Vicodin I think it was like 20 tablets. This was AFTER being told I couldn't get a REAL set of dentures as the sheer number and relatively decent state of my teeth was gonna mean it would like, take 12 months before I was done with the "training" dentures they would reline every few months for a year. I said, "You want to give me 20 Vicodin for THAT? Are you off your rocker? Wait. I WAS going to say no to ANY opiate but like, that is so INSULTING almost, why don't you write me a prescription and I will sell it to offset just a fraction of the procedure."

Then I had to act which I was kidding which I was I mean I wouldn't risk prison time for THAT slush fund exactly.

What WAS TRULY horrifying was like I guess my teeth were deeply rooted and they smashed up all my teeth with all these things that looked like vet implements and well, did something they called "bone planning" which has over the years, given me a much more angular jaw. Only it was worse and harder than they thought, and so they ran out of "sedation" (not anesthesia) and I woke up like 3 times in the middle of the procedure mumbling "I ammjhhnmmm awwake....."

Eyes hurt a TON more than teeth though, God had to make you highly averse to getting blinded versus chewing up tough things.

Although a really good abscess is ah, not the greatest either.

Let's face it it all sucks. I'm glad it's feeling better.

    Anna

All hail the short term opiate treatment for pain if you are not an addict! Although I did read a study one time that said a SINGLE use of like 3 days of whatever opiate (hardly physically addicting at that point) led to over 4-5 times more opiate prescriptions in the next year alone. Of course, they would say that wouldn't they in this new harsh climate. It could have been total bunk I just thought it was interesting. I forget who it was some government agency PROBABLY.

I can only offer this anecdote. I somehow threw out my back in my late teens. I mean, the really BAD thing where you can't move and you can't drive but you do anyway because you are like "I MUST GET DRUGS" I mean, I figured that amount of pain was UNREASONABLE.

So did my doc he gave me like 10 days of some opiate. Several members of my family report my coming down off those opiates and muttering bitterly to myself, "OMG... I forgot how much real life HURTS."

LOL does seem like something I would say. TO BED! Yay.

Exactly. Dry Sockets are quite painful.
My girlfriend had a bad dry socket last year, it took her 3 months of terrible pain, suffering, few visits to a dentist, and a ton of painkillers for it to go away and heal. I'd suggest to do anything you can to prevent that scenario from happening, it's not a joke

Never got one but that was what the nose smoking then nose vaping was for.

It's pretty effective the mucus membranes in the sinus cavity are good at absorption. All joking aside, I did not want a dry socket as they are universally described as hell.

I don't see what is so weird about it. It worked great and bypassed my mouth completely ....But you should do what is best for you, I guess.

I had a tooth extraction about 3 weeks ago (bottom molar). For the first 2 days afterwords I'd just put 3 drops of my regular ejuice (6mg.40vg/60pg) on the back of my hand and lick it up whenever I felt the need for a nic fix.

It worked out well...no jitters or withdrawal symptoms and best of all no dry socket.
    :)
