AGA-T+ Catching on fire

Hi everyone,

So here's the deal. I am a somewhat seasoned vapor. I usually use carto tanks but decided to buy an aga-t+ rba because I had heard so many good things about them and the price was great for a beginners genesis style atomizer. I went through a lot of wire learning how to wrap coils but finally got the hang of it. The problem is from time to time the coil will catch on fire. I have seen this happen on some of the reviews but the problem is that this happens when I am vaping my device. It scares the hell out of me because the heat of the flame causes a pop in my mouth from what I am assuming is the expansion of the air. I am curious if anyone else has had these problems and a possible solution for it. My coils are usually around 1.7 ohms and I am using it on a vamo. I know I should get a mechanical mod for rba's and am considering one in the future. I love the vapor production and the nicotine delivery of my rba but the popping scares me a little bit. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

All our juices have an ideal vaping temp and since they are also flammable they also have a flash temp were they can burst into flames, so it is best to keep the temperature of the coil wire below the flash point. Don't see where a mechanical is better for this as you have no control of the current. The concentration of vapor if you cover the mouthpiece with your tongue aggravates the problem and facilitates the flash pop.
