AGA T3 resistance issues (?)

I picked up an AGA T3 for a great price on cyber monday, it's my first rba, and I will admit I was a little intimidated by building it at first since my previous rebuilding experience had been entirely with drippers. That being said, my first build worked pretty well and I was getting a very nice vape off of it, and I have had a couple of successful builds since...but I keep running into one problem...

I can NOT get a fixed ohm reading off of the T3 on my ohm meter. It always meters ridiculously high, and jumps around like crazy. It was reading 5+ ohms with 4 wraps of 25g kanthal for example.

Does anybody with a T3 have any idea what is causing this? Is it factoring in the center post/wick hole to the resistance because of the design of the T3? Any info would be much appreciated. I really would love to be able to consistently build it to the resistance I want it at (especially since my Zmax seems to hate it no matter what and my only option right now is to run it on my Nemesis clone).

I would think it be more of the wick touching the bottom. That will cause problems. None of, (or any i'm aware of), the AGA's have insulated wick holes or decks so the mesh must be off the bottom. Make sure yours isn't touching the bottom at all or the side walls of the tube... There are a couple other threads here on the forum where you might get some solutions to your problem. It just sounds like a bad connection or a short.
