Thanks everyone! I'm here taking actual notes! I'm definitely getting some great advice to begin. Coco-Berry Cream will be first on the order, for sure. Haven't decided about which tea or tobacco yet. Maybe a fruity one, too. How about coffees? Recommendations, anyone?

Their Tiramisu is really good for a coffee and I would highly recommend Shipwreck for the tobacco, though that one is not in the Express line. I just picked up 30mL each of Apple Wild Wood and Smooth Criminal. I have never been a tobacco-flavor lover but now I am officially a fan of them! As for any bakery flavors, I'm giving you a huge push to blueberry or strawberry vanilla cake. Fruity? Hmmm, I did try one a few weeks ago that was spot-on for a raspberry. Not really my thing but it was tasty!

Oh, and I feel like Shatner with the KFL; something has gone wrong with all my builds. I just don't know what. I've built low-res coils, higher res (1.6 ohm) coils. Either I'm getting anemic vapor, with harsher throat hits than I'm accustomed to......or I'm getting dry hits like every 3 puffs. The 3.1 version is smooth as butter, but the Lite is kicking my throat. I'm guessing it's the amount of cotton I'm using; feels like the same amount I use in other micro coils I make, but it's not working the way I'd like. And I'm running out of non-Ahlusion juice to put in and possibly waste testing it.

Hmmm.... I've not had a problem with vapor production or dry hits on my KFL's once I finally got my builds down. I usually turn one cotton ball into 16 wicks. I'll unroll the ball and cut it in half to make two shorter pieces then those will get cut in half again so each piece is now 1/4 as long as the original unrolled cotton. I'll then cut them into 1/4's lengthwise. I was using 26G Kanthal in an 8 wrap for 0.69ohms but it was killing my battery life so I've since gone back to 28G Kanthal (since I have more of that size as well than the 26G) with an 8 or 9 wrap which have been coming out to around 1.29ohms.

It's sort of hard to explain how I cut the wick length once I thread it through the coil but the wick is probably just shy of 1 inch in length. I thread the wick then press it down lightly so it touches the the two angles of the deck and cut at a 45 degree angle using the bottom threads of where the chimney threads are as a guide.

I'll have to do a wick today and post some pictures but right now I'm still feeling a bit lazy since I had anasthesia for a bone marrow biopsy yesterday. It's not really the punching into the pelvic bone that hurts, it's when they suck out the marrow from your pelvis that is the ouchie part.

Another view to get the scale of where to trim.

In my experience, if you leave it any longer, it's too easy to over pack it in the spaces on either side of the deck. I tuck it in gently, and make sure it kinda fans out in the spaces beside the deck. Hope this helps...

So you're cutting at the top of the chimney section threads, I use the bottom of those threads as my guide. I put my scissors the "L" shape that is formed where the chimney threads meet the bottom deck and cut at a 45 degree angle so I'm probably only using a couple more millimeters of wick than you are. When I tuck my wick in I make sure it's neat but spread out over the entire halfmoon shaped area created between the build block and chimney. I'm also using 8/9 wraps of 28G Kanthal around a 1/16" drillbit as my pattern guide.

I just loaded up Boba's Bounty for the first time ever yesterday and I've not had any dry hits yet (crosses fingers). Although in my post anasthesia haze I did drop a whole tanks worth of juice on the table. I'm not a big tobacco vaper but the Boba's isn't too bad.

I'm using the same guide of the chimney threads at 45 degrees, the second pic was just to show another way of looking at the wick length. I've found that the cotton tends to not only swell, but stretch as well, so I probably do cut mine about a mm shorter on each side.

I also have started using 30g wire, same resistance, on a 5/64“ bit...I find that it fires up much faster, and I can put a wee bit more cotton as wick.

More importantly, I hope you get to feeling better soon, and that the results of you biopsy show good results.

Thank you very much! The problem is that if they rule out cancer via the biopsy I'm sort of back at square one with why are my lab tests so messed up. If it is the big C then it's actually something I've had for a few years and hasn't been much of a problem as of yet.

Quick question for the Ahlusion customers here....

I ordered two 30 ml bottles, and I'm curious to know if they ship with a eye-dropper cap since the bottles are glass, or if I have to come up with some other way to tansfer the liquid to my topper....

Sorry for the moronic question, but I just HAZ to know.

;)

They come with regular caps on the bottles & an eye dropper cap for each bottle is packaged seperately, for you to put on when you are ready. :)

They ship with just a cap screwed onto them initially but they also include a dropper top for each bottle. It seems to make them more... accident proof during shipping because there is the possibility that the dropper section could come off in transport especially if they are going somewhere by air as the pressure differences could cause them to pop. In short, they've thought of everything.

Oooo! BnJ's a gamer too? That's hot! I've got several days off so I can spend all weekend on the Beta test of an upcoming MMO that may or may not be related to Morrowind & Skyrim.

I've been thinking about trying Zing! because I love lemons but I'm not sure if I want the sweet or sour version. Anyone have any experience with this juice? I have been known to occasionally peel and eat lemons like one would do with an orange.
Wow, wasn't aware you are a gamer as well Vagabondnurse. And a fellow citrus freak. I too love lemon and lime in and on everything. I have the sweet Zing and love it but want to try the sour one too. I imagine you'll like it both ways. Sweet Zing is like a meyer lemon. Also, try my new favorite, Al Limone from P.O.E.T. That arrived yesterday and dethroned lemon cream.

Thought I was done trying new juices but Yerba Mate was calling my name..

Hmmm, not as leafy or unusual as I expected from definitions so a little underwhelming. It's a nice taste though, reminds me of Boba Tea on first impression. It's good, but not feeling the need of a full bottle of it. Like all first impressions, that may change though.

Boba? Boba? Whoa, tastes do differ tremendously.

Well, if that voting wasn't stacked... ECF honestly thinks Nicoticket is the best thing going?

Ya Know

Its not even like it was close

seems they won on every juice by a ridicules margin (#1 54 vote #2 10 votes)

I really like nickoticket juice and the customer service is topps

but I wish the voting was more realistic

GD! Long time no see. Yes, I love my gaming from Atari up until present day although since I move a lot I can't really carry a console with me. Most traveling nurses go with laptops but I carry a gaming desktop wherever I travel, even built this one myself. I've been playing MMO's since the original Everquest. EQ, WoW, Tera, Secret World, Star Wars the Old Republic, FFXIV, and looking forward to the Bethesda Studios beta tonight.

I'm guessing just from your handle here and your location that you're with Irrational however I know there are several other similar companies in the area. Lately here I've been going back and messing around with Mass Effect 3 and the survival horror Outlast.

I love citrus so much I carry a shaker of True Lemon crystallized lemon juice in my backpack at all times. It's great as a salt replacement as well since I tend to use NaCl a little too much at times.

I've got two flavors from P.O.E.T. so far (Dolce Nero Te and Dolce Miele Crema) and really like them both. I may have to go for the lemon cake one as well.

I use an ultrasonic. When you say they are ready to vape after 3 days, do you mean that you have them in the UC for 72 hrs straight? Cause I don't UC nearly that long...

My UC has an eight minute timer. I run approx. 10 cycles per day for two days. Total maybe 3 hours over the two days. I shake between cycles. Also the water gets to around 110 degrees (I use a cooking thermometer ) and I let it bathe it that too. The water would go higher but when it hits 110 I leave the lid open to let the heat dissipate. On the third day just shake and vape.

I have a UC with a thirty minute timer. Break the seal on my Love Juice from AHL, cap off for max 30 min (see Rpad review and quote from Juice King), then 5 or 6 hours in the UC for all juices. I run the cycles back to back because I'm trying to break it /LOL and then have an excuse to get a one hour cycle UC. Let the juice reach room temp at the conclusion and I'm ready to go.

Scotch tape over the AHL label so it doesn't fade. Water temp can be as high as 120 to 125 with no damage. No need to shake the bottles since that just duplicates the agitation of a UC and has no benefit during the UC process. I only use glass and bottles go in first and then fill all the way to the top with hot water. The net net is about a two or three week accelerated steep and for me it's fish or cut bait because any change will be subtle/minor after this BUT sometimes even this can be joy and love as I recently experienced with Bannnnanas Foster where the Banana came forward a little more after about 6 weeks. YUM. Also, I don't even bother with a test/green vape with reorders since I know what's going to happen. New juice that I've never vaped always get a test tootsie out of the bottle so I can see how they "turn" after the UC and perhaps learn what the King of Juice has used for flavors/extract's. For example, green/fresh Shipwreck has a disernable "Lime tone" which helps the coconutty blend and pop. After the UC it's blended and no longer disernable for my buds but still performing it's magic.

I aplogize first if this has been addressed recently, I just can't bring myself to go through many more pages looking for info…
I've been wanting to order from Ahlusions express line but seems everything I want is out of stock. I've never ordered from them before, so am wondering if this happens often and how long/soon til they restock for online sales?

I don't think that 'best of' poll is anywhere close to being representative of ecf. Nothing against nickoticket at all - though I haven't tried them yet, I've heard nothing but good things about them - but how many people knew of or voted in the poll? I know I didn't, mainly because I tend to pass right over the stickies.

Now if ecf had had a big banner at the top of every page for a week urging people to vote in the poll (or something like that), I would view it as more representative.
