Was just asking how the Ahlusions juices compare to Dragon's Fire and Legend which are favorite ADV's for me. I'm wanting something new for a change so I ordered Bluegrass Burley and Maple Burley. I don't mind strong tobacco flavor so I think I'll like them...

I discovered Ahlusion shortly after deciding HHV was my jam. Dragon's Fire was my favorite vape...But honestly, Ahlusion is in a different class. Not saying anything bad about Heather's -- as I say I still enjoy them -- but they are not authentic in the way that Ahl's is. I have noticed that all, or most, of HHV's tobacco share a similar base, which I can't quite put my finger on

This post is ironic since I just started my 9 MG Nic Level yesterday with HHV Dragon's Fire before I start popping the lids on my stash. I truly forgot how good this HHV juice is. Not sure how you will like Blue Grass Burley since I personally found it too strong for me, and I did like a number of HHV Tobacco Flavors when I stopped the Analogs. In a similar boat as Bustamelon where I started with HHV & Others and then migrated to Ahlusion full time.

You should try the Wild Woods and Smooth Criminal. Although they are not a comparison, but I am thinking you will get a better representation of how good Ahlusion is to what you are vaping presently.

Yo, I have intangible proof that feedback works.

So, every order I let them know exactly what I'm using to vape at that time (e.g., a standard dripper on a variable voltage device, a RBA with coils at 1.4 ohms on a mechanical device, a low resistance boge cartomizer) those juices turn out amazing. Also, every reordered juice has been even better than the first time I ordered it.

Specific examples:

1. Peachy Criminal -- I'm very familiar with this juice. I know what I'll get from it and I love it. First bottle of it, I fell in love. Second bottle, we got married, third, having peachy babies, etc.

2. Lemon Cream -- First bottle, liked it out the box, really liked it after about 2 weeks, vaped that up, reordered. Second bottle of it spawned the Harlequin novel-esque post I made a few months ago. Third bottle (yes, I finally found it, LOL), I dripped some before driving off this morning -- glorious!! The flavor and the plumes of vapor seemed even denser. It was off the hook.

3. Boba Tea Plain -- The first bottle I had was nothing special, it was good, but not on the aforementioned juices and Berry Shangri-La Tea level for me. I made some comment about it being, for lack of a better word, plain. Second bottle: same song, different verse. It was much more vibrant and flavorful.

Am I being psyched out? I don't think so. Have my tastes changed? Maybe. Is it for the better? Yes, oh definitely yes. :2cool:

Wow! I am going to stop being scared of the review then. I ignored it and refused to coop due to some nonsensical fear of someone misinterpreting OR my mood being such one day and different the next. (or even not wanting someone to have my number yikes!)I have on occasion declared something was crap only to realize the next day I was way off and then I was thankful that I had only declared it crap to myself.

This is Slanderous.

If I were you, I would be really careful where you are placing the Vanilla Wild Wood.

Pfffft.....we ain't scared of the Vanilla Vanguard. Y'all are missing one of your biggest supporters! And psst, word on the streets was y'all had to reformulate. :p

I have been struggling with the decision on whether or not to provide specific feedback to Wlad. I like my Smooth Criminal and Caramel Pear Black Tea as is so far. But I have had a few of the other flavors leaving me wanting in certain areas. I had decided to not provide specific feedback so that I can enjoy Ahlusion's flavors as they are intended.
...

As intended for gear you may not use and for some mysterious universal palate? My juices have been profiled from the get-go. Wlad, precisely like chefs who pride themselves on cooking for a broad variety of palates, has always amazed me at interpreting the incoherent babbling I send him as feedback.

Wlad is far too skilled a flavorist to ruin juice based on anyone's feedback. However, everyone should realize that some juice tweaking will play total havoc with flavors so it's worth keeping expectations somewhat reasonable despite Wlad's magical ways with mixing.

Okay. So, let me start by saying this: I cleaned my atty, recoiled it with 28g, 1.87ohms, cotton wick. Put it on my VTR set at 9.5 watts(usually my sweet spot for VWW). I did the mixture 50/50 for each juice. It was 'okay'-not a horrible flavor...but it just tastes all...muddied up. Hmmm...this isn't easy to articulate but I'll try.
The flavors don't seem to mix well which is weird to me. Almost like the vanilla & caramel are fighting instead of merging harmoniously. It DOES give a slight coconut flavor to me(not sure where THAT is coming from).
This is only my opinion though. To me it seems to not taste like tobacco, caramel and vanilla. It's some monstrosity that I could get used to--but I prefer my CWW & VWW separately(and I'm a HUGE RY4 lover!).

This was a really good review, Annie!
So I got excited when you said you got a slight coconut flavor, and had to try it myself. And I don't get it, but I wish I did. Still, I agree with the rest of your review, and it was a fun experiment. I love the idea of "Frankenjuicing".
So now I'm thinking about Coconut Wild Wood....Coconut Vanilla Wild Wood! Hmmm.

Yeah, I've had days like that, and even with Ahlusion juices. It's the nature of the beast. Some days Juices A or B won't satisfy you or hit your senses like it did the day before.

More than once I've reported a strong opinion on a new juice too early, then have to go back and correct myself when my mind changes. It's a rookie mistake.. I'll probably do it again.

Thank you for the greater clarification on the feedback you provided. It really is going to help me. I do not know what my problem is with commitment. I keep thinking, 'what if I tell them the wrong thing' and then my next order is all screwed up, by me.

Exactly what has kept me from doing it.

Just Criminal and Vanilla WW will be ordered soon. Chocolate and vanilla.. in ice cream choc would win no contest but I think VWW will be my big winner (sorry El for mentioning VWW (not really)).

'Sokay, my brother: I'm delighted to share my VWW bliss with you! (Seeing as how we're both van-bacco heads!)

Somehow, this does not surprise me . . . it's sort of like taking two perfectly gorgeous cats (who've never met) and putting them in the same small place together:  CATFIGHT!! MRRRRRREEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLL HISSSSSSSSSSS!

Yeah, I think a custom job will be needed to find what you're looking for. Tell Wlad you want to feel the coffee grounds in your teeth. Maybe we'll see BecknCO Espresso added to the site.

"Cowboy Coffee"!

Thanks! Wild Wood it is then. But now you have me wondering about my apple choice. I keep bouncing between apple, cherry or peach. Is it just that you aren't fond of apple, or are you not fond of this one in particular?

Pip, I would vote either Cherry or Peach. (For some reason, although I love apple-baccos, I just never found an Ahlusion apple-bacco to love. :( )

Peach Wild Wood is the best one, too. WAY better than stupid old Caramel.

(Trying to start a fight.)

:glare::glare::glare: WATCH IT, buddy!:p

Hold up, Lemon Cream is President. Caramel Wild Wood could be.............the bathroom janitor of the mansion.

8-o "I UNFRIEND you." [That ad cracks me up! :D] :glare:

Vanilla Vanguard, reporting for duty! Tongue_Show_Cat.jpg

Yes, it needed reformulation -- and is now PERFECTION SQUARED!

Lemon Cream is welcome to be dopey ol' president. Caramel Wild Wood is Prime Minister of the WORLD, and Vanilla Wild Wood is King of the UNIVERSE!!:laugh::laugh: ("Top of the world, Ma, top of the world!")

I love the Warriors reference. :smokie:
And I love Ahlusion's CWW.

I just ordered me some Vecchio this week. I'm going to see what all the fuss is about.

I'm not your friend right now bryaninaustin! :p

I think you'll enjoy Vecchio Blend. It's classy, like SharonMM says. And you are classy.

Let's beat up on Caramel WW before Mia gets back!

Mia is back! And I am far, far too mature to participate in such childish nonsense. So I will just say this, without steeping to ridiculous juvenile name calling and taunting.

Caramel Wild Wood Is The Best Wild Wood.
It opens up a can of holy whoop-... on Peach Wild Wood, and that's with one of it's hands tied behind it's back and blindfolded! Peach Wild Wood runs home to mama with it's tail between it's little peach-fuzzy legs. Caramel Wild Wood is sexy beast. Peach Wild Wood is a sissy and can't dance. Caramel Wild Wood is.... Antonio Banderas (or someone like that with a sexy accent). Peach Wild Wood is PeeWee Herman. So there!
I think we're done here.

Wait. My iClear says 1.8---but on the VTR it reads 2.0. So no-they aren't the same ohms.

That could be what's causing the taste difference, but if you're using variable-wattage then no.

The Nimbus is so airy I'm surprised anyone can taste anything In it. Lotta vapor though.

The default holes on the Nimbus are pretty tight. I'm quite possibly the only vaper in Southern California that prefers the stock air holes. Everyone else drills them out for maximum vapor. One of my friends drills his out to insane levels. His drippers look like they were caught in a drive-by.
