I haven't had the BWB Applewood but I know what you mean. I would assume that any tobacco juice with apple in the name is going for apple instead of applewood, unless stated.

From what I think I know about real tobacco, applewood can be used during the curing process to create a smokyness, but if you do a google on applewood tobacco you'll only see it as an eliquid flavor. No idea if curing with applewood actually creates apple notes in a smokable tobacco. Apple is used, often in the the form of apple juice or cider, to make a casing for apple Cavendish.

Thank you Jerms. That makes sense.

And you spelled apple correctly every single time! :toast:

Well, I got my sweet Georgia peach and smooth criminal and they sent me a sample of desperado, haven tried the desperado yet. On first vape I can't say I care much for any of these. All I get is a real strong cigar flavor. Actually, when I first vaped the SGP, I thought they may have messed up the mixture! I couldn't taste the sweet peach part. I'll go back to these later and see if my second impression is any better. I've been on bobas bounty for a while and it's hard for me to change from it!

You'll likely never like those flavors. Send them to me and I will dispose of them in a safe and controlled manner. I will let them sit for a few weeks before I dispose of them, though. :sneaky: I will pay for shipping. ;)

Hope they grow on ya in time, give em a fair try. Goes to show how different our impressions can be based on what we're used to. SGPeach was a whole lotta peach with a little bit tobacco to me, but if you're going from Bobas to an Ahlusion aromatic that's quite a jump in tobacco impact.

I have tried them all except for the River Tree Blends. I would need to know your background in tobacco vapes, tobacco in general, or at least what you want out of a tobacco vape. Best case scenario is to look here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/274904-natural-tobaccos.html or, well, we can talk about that later. LOL

For starting with their tobaccos, I would advise getting (of course not knowing what you'd like) Vurley (aromatic), Blue Grass Burely (aromatic), Smooth Criminal (non-aromatic--let it steep), and Sahara (non-aromatic--vape it fresh!)

FYI: I just opened a bottle of Desperado after 2-1/2 months of steeping. I didn't like the smell of this juice when it first arrived, but after steeping this long, it has transformed into something totally different. Desperado has most, if not all of the same characteristics as Smooth Criminal, just more of it. I get a more pronounced tobacco flavor than SC, and it's a bit sweeter than SC on the back end. I think of Desperado as SC's ROBUST cousin.

Any thoughts on Gold Rising? I just love RY4; I'm just not sure about the straight up honey taste. Also, is the base as strong as BGB?

Yep, I bought a huge bottle of GR. To me, the whole RY4ness is great for debates, but totally irrelevant with the vape. It is fantastic as a vape. There is no honey added, but the tobacco that was pressurized for CO2 extraction (no simple soaks here or anywhere in their menu) is a honey-cured tobacco. It is on the sweet side, as the honey does really, err, rise?! LOL. But it is not overly sweet as in cloying. A juice that can cut that sweetness down without altering the flavor profile one bit is Velvet Cloud Vapor's Blue Beard Tobacco (they're both made with honey-cured tobacco). As a matter of fact, I took Wlad some VCV BBT and his first reaction, well, second reaction to the initial "hmm...good," was "this is a lot like Gold Rising." Don't get me wrong, GR and BBT are not twins at all, but they can play as stunt doubles for each other.

Your take on SC and Desperado are the reverse of my experiences. Whatever the case, for me, SC wins after a long term steep.

p.s. Is the base for GR as strong as BGB? No, totally different. But, GR is NOT lacking in the flavor department one iota.

Did you get a chance to try Sahara, Mann? What'd you think? Did you let it steep? It really blossoms at ~4 weeks. I begged for a sample in an order an Wlad came through. He said it should be released "Soon, very soon". :D

Shhh....don't tell anyone, but I did. Letting this bottle lat 4 weeks ain't gonna happen! The first day I went through about 2.5 mL and I generally don't vape that much of all my stash throughout the day. So, 4 weeks, hmm? I'll try...

The SGP is going to be a very heavy tobacco flavor. All of the "aromatics" are. When I first tried an 'aro' from Ahlusion I didn't like it one bit. But it grew on me. One day I found myself craving Vurley.

I wasn't impressed at first with SC, either. But after 2 days of vaping it I started to like it. Then by the end of my 10ml bottle I was loving it. It needs to steep. I have 4 60ml stashed in the cabinet. Steeping now for 3 months.

Stick with it. It's an acquired taste. But when you get it, you get it very clearly.

I thought something was wrong with SC at first. Man, by the time that juice steeped my wig was flipped and I realized how bad of a decision I had made by not having more steeping. I imagine a lot of people give up on SC too quickly, I know I did.

Yep. I hate to use such harsh language, but it's very unremarkable and forgettable in it's infancy. Same with it's sister, Peachy Criminal. After 3 or 4 weeks it starts to bloom. At 6 weeks it's totally different juice. Same with Sahara, btw. Get a 60ml of it when it's available. If you don't like it, I'll give you what you paid for it. ;)

I am quite stunned by the fact that Sahara didn't work amazingly for you out of the gate. For me, it was awesomely straight Turkish tobacco immediately, but now it is transforming into Ahlusion complexity. I shouldn't be such a peeping Tom while it is getting dressed, but I like what I am seeing so far :sneaky:. It did shift quickly from the first few days, but I really can't tell where it's going, but I am going to follow it (okay, I am not a creep! haha). It has been about 2.5 weeks since my first stab at it..okay, no more of that talk.

As far as SC goes, first, I should state that this is one of my absolute must-have juices! I mean I absolutely marvel at the simplicty and complexity (is that an oxymoron?) of this juice! But, look at what wrote when I first got it:

This just in...

I got my Ahlusion order in and something is off. I have been in talks with Wlad all day and he suspects that somehow there was an error in the processing of the tobaccos and they possibly didn't get cured for the necessary amount of time. I am getting a weird fume from the juice that wasn't there in the first batch; the tobacco is quiet and behind that mysterious, off-putting smell/taste.

My first order was Devil Dog, and in that order I got Smooth Criminal. Man, me and Wlad still laugh about that one! A month later I was singing a totally different tune on the same bottle.
