Hey all,

I recently bought a X2 battery. I've only been using it for a couple of days. The first day was awesome. I was pretty much able to get a full days use out of it before needing to recharge. However, now I seem to be having a problem with airflow. I'm using carts, and when I screw them onto the battery the airflow becomes almost non-existant. I'm using the VOLT blank carts. I can blow through them freely before installing onto the battery. It was NOT like this the first day I used it.

I've cleaned the battery as best I could, and I can't find anything obstructing any holes or anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried multiple carts and even from different vendors. My little 808 batts with these same carts don't have an issue. Thanks.

There are two airflow holes, just below the threads that carto screws onto, and two more at the other end, where the end-cap screws on (these sometimes get blocked with lint). Check to make sure all of the holes are clear. Try removing the end-cap and see if that helps. If none of that works, clean the carto connection area with rubbing alcohol and a tooth brush, getting down into the channel around the post: hold your battery with the threads pointing down--you don't want to wash any debris or e-liquid down into the battery body.

I don't think the endcap would have an effect on a manual batt, would it? And it's probably too new to need intense cleaning. Is the battery firing up the coil at all (you hear it sizzle when you hold it up to your ear)? I'm thinking maybe that first carto you used might've just pushed the battery post in a little bit and now it isn't making contact with subsequent cartos. Then all you'd have to do is pry the battery post back up just a tiny bit. I love manuals. The only problem I've ever had with them was with one X2 that wouldn't hold a charge.

Thanks all.

It wasn't a contact issue where the cart wasn't working. It was an airflow issue. I could use it, but it wasn't allowing the air to flow easily for some reason. I tried to use it again today and it's working fine now. I know none of the holes were blocked. It's just something I'm going to have to get used to I guess. Thanks again.
