I will be taking my first plane trip since I started vaping. I see people have posted about flying with gg devices so I am not worried about that. My question is batteries? I am trying to figure out what I can take on carry on baggage. My plan was to take 1 jgg/ithika with a 1490 battery installed plus 4 1490's in battery cases. After looking at tsa regulations I am not sure I can do this. Does anyone know if a imr 1490 contains more than 2 grams of Lithium?
Thanks in advance for any info. Tim

When i went to the Philippine's i disassembled my ggts and put it in my luggage also my ithaka in my luggage disassembled my bats because of the rules put them in the plastic storage cases with my camera and took them in my carry on. Bought a really cheap 510 bat and low resistance atomiser and 10ml of juice but that in my carry on with my camera and used that when i could no problems hope that gives you some ideas.

As long as batteries are protected (in cases) you're fine for carry on. They are not allowed (I don't think) in checked baggage. I always carry 2 boxes with 2 each 18490 and one plastic box with 4 18350s. I've done this 15-16 days a month all over the world and no issues. I do disguise my Esterigons or JGGs as a flashlight when headed to the Middle East however.

This year I took 8 - 18650 batteries with me ( in battery cases ) to Puerto Vallarta Mexico and Key West FL. The batteries are not allowed in checked baggage. When I go thru the screening I do pull the battery cases out of my carry on and place them in the bins.....no problems at all.

I also take my battery charger along in my carry on.

Good Luck to You!!!
