Get the silver bullet instead. It's a great PV. tank system are not recommended, muted flavors, less throat hit. A Silver bullet with a dual coil carto is a perfect setup IMHO. If you don't mind a bottom feeder mod, try the Reo Grand/Mini, you won't be disappointed. Reo Grand + IKV LR 901 1.8 ohm = vape heaven for me :D

Yeah, good thing I didn't order the eGO tonight. From what everyone has said in here about the T... definitely doesn't sound for me. I like a good hot air vape.

Sorry for all the questions but... hows the silver bullet compared to the protege?

If you ask 10 people you will get 10 different opinions lol. I just wanted to let you know that if you do go with an epower, North Carolina Vapes has them on sale for about $36 :) I will post back with the code :)

How about a birthday discount?!?!?! Today (8/12) is my birthday afterall (26, woohoo!), haha. Seriously though, 36$ is a great deal. I might hop on that on Monday just to have a good throw around PV.

I don't know about the Protege, from the website I'm guessing it's smaller than the Silver Bullet, comparable to an ego 1000mAh.
I think it's using a Tenergy 14500 battery, a Silver Bullet use a 18650 battery. 14500 batteries won't last a whole day (for me), 18650 batteries last a day and a half. I recommend you to use AW IMR batteries for SB or Protege. Both are 3.7volt. You can stack batteries on SilverBullet for 6volt vaping too.

After 9 months, if you are ready for a present for yourself, since you need to buy some gear, maybe one ego sit-and-go, plus a step up to a buzz pro vv. The bp runs noticeably less $ than a darwin or provari, buzz are known for standing up well to abuse, the wheel voltage control is clean and easy to use, it can handle lr atties/cartos.

Just an option.

it's bad that the airlines lost your ecig units but it's good that it's forcing you to upgrade your stuff. it's just a lot easier to justify spending, instead of having a box full of miscellaneous ecigs that you don't use (like me). i'd definitely get into a bigger battery mod, 18650. off the top of my head it's the chuck, silverbullet, goldrush, or maxi roughstack. there's a lot more though. i do voltages by swapping batteries, i keep my stuff simple (rather than variable voltage), more reliable as there is less stuff to break...

I have three suggestions: if you want to stay with the same size PV as the eGo, then a much better option would be the E-Power, which looks like the ego. However, the batteries only cost $4 instead of $12-$20 for the eGo. The batteries can be recharged 2000 times unlike the eGo that has a 200 recharge life.

I agree the E-Power is certainly worth considering as an alternative to an Ego, but your estimate of 2000 recharges seems a little optimistic. If recharged once a day, the battery would last almost 5 1/2 years. If recharged twice a day, that would be a little less than 2 3/4 years. 10 times the number of recharges for one Lithium Ion battery vs. another Lithium Ion battery doesn't seem to make sense. Could you please provide some more info on how you determined this?

Excuse my ignorance... but what is a dual coil cart?

And I was looking at the silver bullet at altsmoke and the only battery they offer is 18650 xsl 2600mah protected.. is that 3.7 or 6? I'm so used to the 3.7 eGO, haha.

I am pretty sure that is a 3.7V mod. The higher mah means that it will hold its charge longer.
The Dual Coil Cartomizers have two coils instead of one so you get warmer vapor and less burning of the filling material :) The flavor is better because the heat from the coils is spread out over a larger surface area. I really love the dual coils :)

Another plus 1 for the e-power. It's modular design means you can replace any part if needs be and replacement batteries for it don't break the bank.

Sounds fantastic! I'll be ordering the e-power kit from NCV then. The fact I can change the batteries is the big selling point.

I also decided it's time to try out a 6v... so I'll be ordering the SB. Looks like it only comes with 3.7v batteries... so I emailed them to find out about the batteries and when they'll have black SB's in stock.

Like I said, I'm not big on carts but I'm willing to buy one and give it a try. Never know, right?

Are you talking about carts? Carts are used with an atomizer :) These are a 1 piece cartomizer :)

I always try to sneak my stuff on the plane! lol

That's the ironic part. When I flew overseas I packed all my juices and ecig stuff EXCEPT for two juices and one of my eGO units. They made me throw away both my juices before I could board (rules on bringing liquids onboard). SO when I flew back I said screw it and packed everything- and what do you know... my luggage is lost. Go figure, right?

I just want to say thanks again for all the help! I feel pretty happy with the advice/decisions. I love this place! =)

The e-power looks like it uses a european plug on the charger? Or is it just the picture is for the european model?

Will the eGO-t atty/tank fit a standard 510? Or does it use it's own battery unique to the T models?

I'm thinking my best bet would be the e-power or a mega t-rex (not sure which is better), get my standard LR attys and drip tips... then pick up some eGO-t attys/carts and see how I like it. If I don't then I dump them and just stick to dripping If they're compatible that is... (ego-t on the mega t-rex or e-power)

No one would buy the E-Power if it had a non-US plug. It's just a better overall choice in that "eGo" type category. Why pay $20 for batteries that only last a tenth of the time when you can get non-proprietary batteries for $4. But I actually think the other two options I listed are better in the long run. The GLV has a lifetime warranty, also.

That was from the Battery Junction web site. I found a 1500 recharge number on the Battery University site last year. Obviously I haven't been able to "prove" that number. Your point is valid. I do know that it is much longer life span than the proprietary batteries that come with the eGo and all other proprietary batteries. And even if it came out to be only 1000 recharges, at a price of $4 instead of an average of $15 for the eGo batteries, it's a no brainer to go with the E-Power, IMO.
