Hey guys, I have a question that I'm sure many have asked. I origionaly bought my e-cig so I could smoke in non smoking areas like in the airport and such. I hate to travel because I have to go sooooo long without smoking.

THE QUESTION: Can I get my e-cig thru security with no problem? Can I use it in the airport? Do I dare try it on the plane?

My wife and I like to hit a tropical beach at least once a year and it would make my life so much better if I could vape at will.

my mother-in-law travels to alaska every 3 months, and has had no problems. she's never vaped in public, but goes to the bathroom in the airport, or on the plane, just to avoid problems. her pv is always in her purse, which is her carry-on and passes security check every time. i wouldn't suggest box devices though for flying...they look like detonators...

Steve,

I am a frequent flyer, and I have never had a problem traveling with my eGo and PCC case. I have not tried to vape in the terminals, and wouldn't want to risk missing a flight or the trouble it may cause... Getting on/off the plane, and walking on the jetway is a great place to stealth vape a little.. ( No cameras) *lol* I'm not promoting this, but a stealth vape is less risky then sitting out in public...

Delta actually states in their magazine that ecigs are prohibited on flights and have not tried to stealth vape or use them at all on flights.

I've flown with my electronic cigarettes quite a few times, and you are fine going through security.
I have had them in my carry on backpack, my checked luggage, and right out in the open in the bin with my shoes.

As for vaping in the airport, I usually go to the bathroom or else stealth vape, although I am fairly sure you can do it in the airport.
But you might get people complaining, so I never tried it.

As for on a plane, I would definitely not suggest trying that out in the open, but I've semi-stealth vaped on every flight I've been on.
But then I have always sat with my wife next to me and no one in the third seat.

I just bought the Joye 510. I can't wait to try it in public! I don't know about flying, can't give you advice there since I never get to leave my cow poke town. But if I WERE to fly, I would smoke in the bathroom-- just because it's such tight quarters in a plane. No need to set some crotchity old lady off. :)

What about the juice? Should I just bring a bunch of prefills.

As long as the bottles are less than 3oz and they all in your quart size bag with your other liquids, you are good to go through security line. I usually pull out a bottle of juice before I put my bag away after going through security to keep handy.....
