Good morning Vapeland!

Morning all. Another hot day in sunny CA.

What's the high for you down there? supposed to hit 102° here.

speaking of unbearable heat.... Have any of you Kayfun users noticed problems with using it in the heat?

I drive a black car, so in the summer when I get in, it's usually 101°-104° according to my car's thermometer. I have noticed a pattern, that when i'm out in temps like that (for example my drive home every day--so i've been pretty consistently testing) that my Kayfun doesn't work as well, if at all. and often times the heat will cause it to leak out of the air hole.

I think that it probably has to do with the drastic temperature change, causing the juice or the the air to expand inside the tank and messing with the vacuum of the tank.

Anyone else notice this?

Yea sucks vaping in the heat. 110 here and hardly get any vape on breaks.

You notice that too?? it just like, don't produce vapor... and it sometimes just throws bits of juice up the driptip into my mouth. Wonder why that is....

Currently is it 95 here. The humidity seems to have dropped some so that helps.

I am not having any issues with vapor production. I have a KFL+ (not the clone) and on a rare occasion when I fill the tank, the juice will leak a little out of the air hole or throw a little up the drip tip. I was told to blow in the air hole without firing three times. You may need to do it a few times if it doesn't clear up initially.

I too have a black car and it sits outdoors 365 days a year. When I bought it, I had ceramic tint installed for the first time. It is more expensive however I have noticed the difference for the better over my previous black car that I could barely sit on the seats without putting a towel down.

I have the cheapest of the cheap KayFun clones (from 101--unbranded) and when it gets hot... like 100°+ in my car, that thing will leak pretty consistently... unless i try to keep vaping on it, which sucks the juice back in i suppose. The only problem is, the vape quality is sub par when it's hot.

Most of the time, it doesn't leak, except if I don't top fill it correctly.

Would like to get a real KayFun and see if it has the same problem... but i'll have to wait until I can afford it. May be a while.

Yeah, I'm actually thankful that my car has cloth seats for that reason. ...Not that I had a choice, they don't make my car with leather seats.

Mine does the same ILoveNorCal...in fact all of my Kanger tanks tend to do this in the heat too. I think it may have something to do with expansion of the o rings inside that act as seals. You would think that if something expands and gets bigger, it would tighten a seal but doesn't seem to be the case. Just my :2c:.....anyway, as soon as they get back into the AC...everything is good again!!:)

Texas
Good morning Fran, Paleo and all my wondermous friends here at AIV!

Happy Friday and hope everyone has a wonderful week-end!

About your various mods and tanks and the heat......... uh yeah. I live near Houston, Texas and the humidity-heat is murder on tanks.
It has to do (in my opinion) with the constantly expanding and compressing of going in and out of AC. As long as we are inside with
AC no problems. Hubby and I have talked about this problem common to both of us.

huggles and happies everyone!!!
