I'm re-posting the Glogg recipe from yesterday as I realized I left out an important ingredient...the Cardamom!!! Sorry for that everyone...and I wasn't even drinking any!
2 (750 milliliter) bottles fruity red wine, such as Beaujolais
1 (750 milliliter) bottle port wine
3 cinnamon sticks
14 whole cloves
10 cardamom pods
1 orange, peel cut into thin strips
1 cup white sugar, or to taste
3/4 cup rum, or to taste
1/4 cup brandy, or to taste
1 cup raisins
1 cup slivered almonds
All ingredients are slightly heated (simmered not boiled) for 45 minutes to blend flavors and until sugar is dissolved. Strain and serve in mugs garnished with the raisins and almonds. Enjoy!!!
One optional to this that I've never done...you can soak the raisins in the Brandy and then add them at the end.....hmmm......
