Way out West...sorta
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone in Vapeland. Such great people here.

Rev,

Let me know what you get and how you like it. Been eyeing box mods my self. With what charmed has said, I'm going to look at the reo mini and then, well think about it. So really curious about what you get and what you think. I dont know anyone that has one, and funds for me are not the best, so I have to rely on the opinions of others and then save, save, save.

This thread introduced me to the best juices. You all have great taste.

I really think I am leaning toward the mini 2.0 18490. Put a carto on it stick it in my pants pocket and vape on. I kinda like the carto idea as well because I can get a medicine bottle to carry other flavors as well. I would love to get some of those rebuildable atty's but you can't buy most of them unless you are on a list. I want to vape not wait. I have to go see the Queen and kiss the Blarney stone in a month and I need to be ready.

Vape on with Vapezors my friends

Web design? If you have any questions, please ask. I'm not good at design, but I know HTML and CSS (and javascript, and php, and mysql but you're probably not interested in that) like the back of my AiV juice. I do web work for a living. Not very good at it, but I've been doing this stuff for about 6 to 7 years.

Just finished my project...finally. I started when I woke up at about noon, and just finished now at 11PM. I guess I'm a slow worker. :p

If you (or anyone else.. why not? :p ) want to critique it, feel free to! My CSS is listed under the portfolio tab.

Again, thanks for offering help!

Link to my project -->Home Page

Oh! The submit button isn't working because we didn't have to write the back end. :p

I appreciate it! Yeah, it is just HTML and CSS so far. My online class for this week actually just covered the basics of javascript. The lab took me two seconds.. It was a joke. For my project I am making a portfolio for all my work for it, since we can do the project on anything we want. I figure that if I'm making a website, I should probably make some use for it instead of just making something fictional like our guidelines recommend as an example.

Back two years ago we did PHP and mysql, so I'm guessing it will be making a reappearance later in the semester. I actually like that aspect a lot more than basic html and css.

And I definitely wouldn't have any objections to letting you critique my work, as long as you do not have anything better to do. Hahaha. If you want I can also send you my CSS so you can see that as well. CSS is my weakness unfortunately.

Sure. I'm not up to date with all the new CSS 3, but I'm pretty solid with CSS 2. Just pm me or post the link here if you want. But like I said, I'm terrible with the design part. If someone gives me a mock up, I can make it, but don't ask me to design a site :D.

I really prefer server side programming to front end, and I think that has to do with my wanting to do problem solving rather than making something look nice (though I do 3D images).

Well, most of the time that I'm not working, I'm either combing these forums, doing 3D art, or playing video games! So, I guess I can cut some of that time and look at your work. :)

A large flat jet black rectangle, about 9 feet tall and 3 feet wide appears on the meadowy plain next to the center clearing of Vapeland. It slowly opens and a harsh yellow light shines out of it as the door slowly opens. A sea of transistors, motherboards, modems, RAM, PV's of all shapes and sizes, PV batteries, kicks, DIDs, cartomizers, atomizers, bottom feeders, top feeders, CD and DVD video games (and their corresponding systems) and too many more numerous mods and gadgets to mention can be seen wreathing and waxing.

Just at the front of the Tsunami is yardbyrd. He is flying hecticly forward, dodging an anode here, a hot atty there, he weaves back and forth before the onslaught of wire, cables, printed circuit boards and the like. The sharp wire of a transistor pokes his left leg, and an odd medallion around his neck begins to glow gently green, then orange, then blue. Just as a gigantic wave of cables mixed with outdated, 286, 386, 486, and 586 motherboards is about to crash directly on to him a blue glowing transluscent sphere appears around the avian. The wave crashes on the orb, but the sphere protects him, and he bounces along inside it, like a beach ball, through the opening of the black door. Once outside he instantly produces a small pouch, from under a wing, and blowing into it dust strikes the ebony geometric shape closing it just before the wave that pushed him along comes crashing down with certainty, massive uncaring force, and deliberation. The black portal begins to shift, then warp, then smear, then melt until it begins to seep into the soil of Vapeland.

Another quick blow into the pouch produces a large cloud that immediately dissipates what remains of the door; the rest has sunk into the realm below it's oily black ooze leaving a rather unpleasant tar and petroleum oil smell. This dissipates slowly but leaves a small black tar pit in the meadow in its wake.

Yarbyrd looks slowly, and sadly, at the astro-turf patch in front of him, that has formed from somewhere, and backing up a few feet he nods to the natural soil and the top of a perch can be seen stuck right at ground level. Suddenly a black wand with a white tip appears in the air above him, then an arm, cufflinked, white starched shirt, protuding from a beige coat sleeve. The wand bends down once, taps, and James appears. He walks slowly to yardbyrd and reaching inside his suit pocket produces gauze, ointment, and white tape and slowly, and caringly, applies the ointment, and bandages to the wound to yardbyrd's left leg. The byrd's medallion is pulsing indigo as the old man cleans the blood from his leg. James looks up and looks around carefully. He stands next to yardbyrd, the wand held in two hands as if at the ready.

Suddenly, a snake like line is approaching from the wood, glistening, and reflecting light. As it draws nearer it can be seen to be cell phones, telephones, phonographs, victrolas, and MP3 players(with an external speakers attached). It writhes up in front of yardbyrd and stops. James, reaching inside his right coat pocket removes 2 batteries, of some type, and picking up the cell phone removes a cover and puts the batteries inside. He quickly dials 911111, pushes "speaker" and sets it before his employer. A distant, scratchy, near metallic, almost robotic voice can be heard issuing from all the speakers in this line, and yardbyrd's medallion is pulsing very slowly first black then gray, then black again in a loop.

"Greetings denizens or should I say comrades? I almost couldn't make it here today but matters of duty pressed me forward. My assistant received vape mail today, and after sampling it's contents, and sharing them with me, we came to provide a review of our humble, unsought, and subjective views regarding them.

Cherry Blossom. (mmmm)

Delightful to the tongue and palate this delicious, but not over-bearing fruit/tea e-liquid was found mouth watering to us both. I get the undeniable flavor of Cherry flavored tea; but I felt the tea flavor was like Earl Grey; James thought it was more like green tea. Regardless the blending of these two flavors was met with much pleasure and we both found this e-liquid to be relaxing and most enjoyable. Subtle nuances mark this smooth and delectable flavor mixture and suprised us both as "Cherry flavored tea" was not a thing either of us thought would be particularly good; we were wrong. Our nic level is at 24mg and we both were much more satisfied and interested to see what steeping may do to such a mild mix with stronger fruit overtones. Right out of the bottle, however, it is undeniable savorable. Vapor is productive and the throat hit is mild.

White Rabbit! (Yikes!)

Finally the much spoken of and praised elixer was another taste sensation that we both loved. We've read many posts here regarding this intriguing flavor and have our own two cents to add to it's evaluation.
Coconut, cocoa, marshmallow, vanilla, macaroon delight is how we view it. Maybe...just maybe a hint of brown sugar! It certainly lives up to it's reputation and praise; again our niclevel is at 24 mg, Vapor production is high and the throat hit is mild.

Each wondrous concoction deserves much credit in its own right. I will, again, be looking forward to see how it tastes after steeping.

Pear Ship: an addendum

I have had Pear Ship long enough now for it to have steeped. The fruit flavor is not as pronounced but a toasty tobacco flavor has seemed to develop making it even more desireable to me. I agree with wolandepiphanius that many of those who prefer tobacco should request a stronger tobacco flavoring but wonder what it may do to it as it steeps.

All of these e-liquids produce vapor well and vary in throat hit although all mild; throat hit is not one of my favorites and the mild throat is it something I really like.

In conclusion I know not when I may be able to return to this realm. I assume a great city will soon be here crowding the forest and making rental space a premium. Forgive me if my visits grow fewer. I will still return, periodically, if I can fight my way through, to deliver only the most necessary information, such as reviews, as needed. Apparently access to this realm is becoming progressively more difficult for a creature such as myself. Please forgive my long message and be assured that they will become shorter and shorter as this realm continues it's journey toward "progress" ".

Looking to his feet, at the top of his perch, still stuck just at the level of the Vapeland soil under his feet, yardbyrd, nods slowly, and the perch top sinks back into the soil of Vapeland.

James approaches yardbyrd, but is still looking around warily; apparently his wand is at the ready. When James reaches his employer he gently scoops him up, careful to avoid the fresh dressing on his injured leg, and places him under his left arm. Holding the wand aloft, straight up toward the Vapeland sky, his old soft, husky voice mutters a strange word and touching his head with it they both instantly disappear.

Slow? That's not slow. If you built the entire site in just 11 hours, that's not bad at all. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the design because I've always believed that taste is personal. The one thing about the background is that it may be too much. I think now the web wants to be simple, so either have one image as the background or have a gradient or a solid color. That's preferred, but I think you should do what you want. I had a tiled background on my website, then all my co-workers started making fun of me. Just letting you know. :)

The CSS looks good. The one thing is the background directives. If I have more than one background attribute, I just put it into just one declaration. Like you have the background-image and the background-repeat. For some reason, and I think it's because I write css like I write PHP, I would place both in a background declaration, like "background: url("...") repeat;" if this makes sense. But, this is due to me reducing amount of bytes being delivered over a network. I minimize characters so there are less characters for the browser engine to parse :D. My boss makes fun of me every time I do this and says "we're not on dial up anymore. we have high speed and cable now. and faster processors."

Anyway, these are just suggestions. That is very good for a project. It looks professional to me. I'd hire you. All I've said is my personal opinion, and in no way endorsed by the Web 3.0 people. :D

I know the background looks... Cheesy. We were limited to using only freeware images. We couldn't even link to our sources. Bleh! And thanks for the tip! I'll look into figuring out what you said tomorrow because my brain is absolute toast. Just finalized and submitted it a few minutes ago, so that makes it 13 hours total. I just want to put it out of my mind for the night :p.

And THANK YOU! I get so frustrated that I barely get calls for all the jobs/internships I apply for. I know its because of the lack of professional experience. I really hope that someone takes the "risk" of hiring me even though I lack professional experience, because I really am proud of who I am, what I know and can do, and I feel like I can be a great asset to anyone willing to hire a soon to be graduate.

I definitely like the back end much better as well. CSS isn't my thing either. And this project we had to have all are formatting in css or we get points deducted. That made me unhappy because I am absolutely horrible at CSS and I had to look up every little thing!

And mmmmmmmmmm video games. It is supposed to be my day off and I couldn't even touch a controller! :p

Good luck! Anyway, your work looks great, and everything looks good. If you get less than an "A" or a 100%, there's something wrong with your instructor. That's my personal opinion too. You did everything correct. Also, I have to look up stuff all the time. There's only so much information that can be held in this small monkey head of mine. :)

the small, towed headed boy looks into the sky.......hoping for a glimpse of the fantastical blue byrd....knowing in his heart, that he may never see him again.

Dearest Yardbyrd, I am so very sorry that Vapeland has gone crazy over electronics and we have lost so much of our whimsy, but believe me, we are never going to let electrodes take over here.... it is just a passing fad...... the neon glow has taken over, but only for a short time. Very soon we will be looking at the beauty of the sunsets and watching for blue byrds in the sky and playing with fireflys. I know I will. Everything west of the Penthouse is to be kept in Pristine, original order and is not to be touched, by this I so decree as owner of the fantastical and whimsical and totally imaginary penthouse that was gifted to me by Jah and Nicole.

I and many others desperately need that bit of whimsy that we get when we come here and we will never let it go. It can get crowded, but this is a big place, there can be room for all of us.

We love you tremendously and I am so sorry that you were hurt here, of all places.

But from what I've heard, provari's are nearly indestructible. Tanks can be replaced easily, unless you have one of those stainless steel tanks like the Odysseus, then you don't need to worry about it :).

I just pm'd tenderfoot to see what the going price is. I hope that's following etiquette since I've never bought anything from the forums before. Maybe with my new found "senior member" status, he'll trust me enough to reply.

I think the only thing I've ever dropped (buy my floor is carpeted with a plush mat underneath my chair) is my VV Gripper. My parents told me that when I was less than 1 year old, anything they gave me I'd hold with a vise grip. I guess I was born lucky. :D

Oh he makes the most incredibly beautiful stands. I was almost fortunate enough to get him before he got so famous. LOL He had a PIF trade for juices, months and months and months ago. I PM'd him to ask him what he would trade for and he told me thank you for reminding me, that is really old and no longer in effect and here is my new stuff. LOL and it is SO beautiful! I am trying to win one, you know me. ;) Sometimes, I just wish I had money. LOLOLOL

constant state of confusion
Ireland is my dream. I lived in England and a child and I would love to go back now that I am old enough to appreciate it. But I feel a strong pull to Ireland that borders close to obsession.....I won't get there in this lifetime but I go there often in my dreams. I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip.

Yardbyrd, I am very sorry if my presence in Vapeland in any way offended or crowded you. I stumbled in here after finding the magickal nectar that is AIV juice. I recently lost my home here on ECF due to politics and agendas that I could not support.

Get back in here!

I'm a fairly new resident here, but I don't think anyone would disagree in my saying that everyone has a home here. Unless you're mean... which you certainly are not.

So set your sack down under that willow and let's get to building you a house here!

this is sooo true, darling giant. extremely true. But we can and will manage. I mean, after all, we have whimsy and technical, and giants! How many people can say that?
