Does the yarn give you a better flavor? I hate hitting silica dry in the Vivi's.

Finally off work, we've been understaffed all weekend so its been so hectic. Between being behind and dealing with impatient customers I'm fed up. At least I'm off until friday.

I find that it gives better flavor. If I try going back to silica I find that I can taste it. So for me it is a win win since you can get a hundred or two yards of the stuff for $3 at walmart. But you can't dryburn cotton. I don't dryburn, so it isn't a problem for me. But if you frequently change flavors in your vivi, I suggest you pick a couple more up so you don't have to vape through old flavors when switching, and/or rebuild the coil completely.

The vivi novas and I have a love hate relationship. When they work for me, they work great. But I've gotten into a slew of problems with them lately and they are currently sitting in my vape box. I'm exclusively vaping on the phoenixes and love the hell out of them. Only downfall that they have is that you have to try to keep them face up. Or at least the air hole port straight up. I've come back to my car where I left a spare phoenix and there was a puddle of juice which leaked out of the airhole. So you can't really carry them around lose in your pocket like you could a vivi

Yarn yarn. Like the stuff your grandmother would use to knit you a pair of mittens hahaha. Not the crochet thread. I think it is #4 yarn. The brand I bought from walmart was called "peaches n creme".

And as far as priming goes, if you're using the phoenix (I think it was you who said you had ordered one), just fill it to a bit below the brim and you should be set to just vape away. If you notice it start going dry then add 5-7 drops. If you're not sure if you're going dry, take off your drip tip, and let light shine down into it, and if you can see the metal at the bottom you can add a few drops.

For the vivi nova, just add 2 drops or so directly onto the coil before screwing the top back on. After you screw the top back on, do what you normally would do.. Give it a few good swirls and vape away.

Alright guys, my girlfriend is bugging me to come to bed, so I'm out for the night :p Catch you all in the morning/afternoon!

Oh one more thing! SS isn't for me. If anyone wants a 2x2 (minus some for the wick I just made), and/or about 2 feet of silica wicking material and/or a premade coil on silica wicking material, let me know and i'll send it your way!

Hey Ghost, what kind of ss mesh did you use? I've being using 400 ss (i think it's .023 inches or something like that for the spacing) for my vivi novas and seems to work fine.

Hey Ghost!

If you're serious about passing on the SS/Silica/wicking material, I'd love it - I've been wanting to give rebuilding a try.... I'll send you a PM.

I'm assuming when you mention the phoenix, you're talking about the rebuildable atomizer? (I have MOV's version) The other type of phoenix is the trade name of the CE3 from GV - it comes in a transparent tube and you need a syringe to fill it. Both give a great vape.
A dictionary is hundreds of pages long - one would think they could find different names for different products.... :glare:

And I'm with you with the Vivi Novas - definately a love/hate. I have continued issues with flooding. :(
If you're talking about the CE3 phoenix leaking, one trick I've learned is that you can stick a carto condom on the ends if you're storing it/carrying it around - voila! No leaking!

You can buy kanthal wire pretty cheap on eBay. Just search for kanthal a1 32.. although you could go up to 34 gauge with no problem. You can get cotton wicking material (just ordinary yarn) from Walmart. Make sure it is 100% and get either natural if they have it or white.

If you prefer silica, you can get it from silicawicks, although it is much more expensive than cotton. Cotton has given me much better results than silica.

There's a place on eBay that sells cotton wick for cheap as well. If you can wait till I get home tonight I will post up the link as it is saved on my computer.

wow the new driptips are so awesome!!!

Thank you Lori for hanging out....and you too JP.

My tattoo is my first.....but it probably wont' be my last. It is designed for my Charmed One logo but not exactly the same and without the words. Ogre said no words tattooed ever cause when I get old, it will look like Hebrew. We did the wings and the shamrock outline today and we will do the color and shading later. I will post a picture when it is done and healed but it will look close to this

Awesome! Yeah it definitely won't be your last. When I got my first one I said it would be the only one I get. I've got 4 now, and have a couple more already planned :)

My darlings,

I have had the most wonderful day today, I have to tell you all about it. My daughter, son in law, and grand babies came for my birthday. They have been promising since early July to come over for grand daughter and daughter's birthday. I had put together a special kit for my baby girl with a bunch of different flavors and a bunch of trial sizes of Alice.....in fact, all the trial sizes of Alice. They brought me beautiful flowers, perfume and cake. LOL I loved it. after my birthday was over and I had given the baby her present that was wrapped up for her... she loved it and all the pretty little charms from Alice, I went to kitchen to put Suzy's stuff together for her. After she tried it, my son in law said he wanted to try it and he LOVED AQM and the Pear Ship. So....daughter is now puffing away happily and trying the different juices and Tom is like ....wow, Mom, I might try to do this too if I had the stuff, so I am running around finding stuffies for him. I was so excited, I even offered him my SS mini V-tube, but he thought he liked the bolt better. So, I wound up giving him my new EGO set that I got from Alice as my back-up and the Bolt that I won. LOL And I am so happy I don't know what to do. My grandson (who is my heart) came over and said, "Mimi, thank you so much for doing this, it means so much to get them to quit." I bout started crying. Now, they are all loaded up with pipes and juice and happiness and just left a little while ago.

I can't ever remember having a better birthday!

I love you guys to pieces and am hurting so much I absolutely have to lay down for an hour or so, but was so excited that I wanted to share with you.

love and huge hugs,

Morri

Happy one day late birthday morri, I'm glad you had such a wonderful day =)

Edit: seems I'm not a day late, had to read one post further lol.

I went to King Richards Faire (Renaissance) today. It was pretty cool I have to say. Got my turkey leg, and begged my wife to get a wench outfit to no avail. I vaped my AiV Grape flavor all day, and was pretty merry. I hope all of you had a great day as well.

Just an FYI

Wench's with Mead KICK .... It's a real good thing lol.

Awesome! That is the one my friends and I have gone to every year for quite some time. This year we decided to change it up and go to the Connecticut Renaissance Faire, since we read some good things about it online. I'll let you know how it is.

Did you watch the Mud Show?

Yeah its 400. I have to be doing something wrong though becsuse it doesn't seem to want to wick AT ALL.

You might have been wrapping them too tight. If there's no hole down the center, or if you pinch it rather than U-bend it to get it to fit into the Vivi Nova, it won't wick properly. That said, I'm not a big fan of mesh either :p

Different Phoenix. He's talking about the Phoenix RBA. I really hate that all these vendors have the same damn name for their products. Vivi Tank, Vivi Nova, Phoenix BC, Phoenix RBA, the list goes on.....

I don't have any, but I've been thinking about getting a plain pink ribbon.
I just don't know where - needs to be easily concealed, but where I can see it when I want.
Lower chest, maybe? (once the reconstruction is done, of course...)
