Went to bed last night and everything alien wise was great. woke up this morning and the screen would not come on , still fired though. Played around with it to make sure it wasn't in stealth mode and it wasn't. Took it back to retailer and after looking at it and making a phone call decided they would replace it. I only had it a week . Anyway got a new one so all is good.
Anybody had anything similar happen to their Alien 220. I only expect my mods to last 6 months before I buy another one and I've got five including the alien and all the others are still working . Hopefully this is a one off.
Vape on .

Thanks guys I will be doing business with them again. Really hope this one works out. He asked how I was charging it and I said by usb. He said it probably wasn't that that caused it . Anyway I do charge it via usb on a 1 amp charger like I do all my mods.
You really should be using a 2+ amp wall wart (the charger is in the mod). Your batteries won't charge slower due to the lower rated adapter and you risk overheating the adapter.

Hey, i know this is kind of abstract to his post, but i was hoping someone may be able to give me some pointers, my alien has been saying "OHMS TOO LOW" no matter what tank or rda i use, does anyone have a good fix?
don't adjust the ohms on the mod. honestly that option shouldn't even exist.

it's the mod throwing you a warning that something is wrong. If you have several attys / builds all doing this, it's likely an issue with the mod, there is a short somewhere.

I do have a 2 amp usb wall adapter but thought that might be too much for the Alien. In the manual it says it takes 1A charger.
The Alien charges at two amps. In any case, a higher rated adapter is always good. They're built to handle higher current flows and will deal with a lower load much better.

I would like to see where Smok says 2A charging because I am only seeing 1A USB Balanced charging....
Plus I believe the best charge is a slow charge. Higher charging rates develop more heat for one thing.
Don't know where Smok says that but it's been tested with an usb volt/amp meter (yes, by some guy who posted the results online, guess it's not trustworthy then. I've tested it myself, but my meter isn't the best. Definitely over 1 amp. And I'm posting this as some guy online). Two amp charging is starting to be more and more common with multiple battery mods. Slower charging is better, yes, but I'm perfectly ok with charging at 1 amp per battery (or even 1.5) with my external charger, and if I need to use usb charging at all then I'll want quick top up for a short time rather than having the mod tethered up for hours.
