Quick mini reviews of a couple of Alien Visions flavors. All flavors vaped on my trusty stock Riva510.
At the time I ordered these samples, a no nicotine option wasnt available. I see now that for select flavors a no nicotine option is available but only at a .50 upcharge. So basically Im paying more to purchase less. The policy strikes me as odd, but whatever. Shipping is not the worst Ive seen. Time from order to delivery is a tad long. In other words Id grade the purchasing experience as solidly mediocre. Ive had better, Ive had worse.
Maple Melody 6mg/ 6ml
This 100% VG liquid is nearly black colored and smells strongly of maple when you open the bottle. I like maple so when the scent was spot on I was feeling pretty hopeful that this would be a juice Id appreciate. On inhale the maple flavor was light, but spot on. I thought Id found a winner. However, the exhale on this was like vaping rubbery scrambled eggs. Pretty unpleasant, actually. Because the maple flavor on inhale had been so nice, I decided to let this steep and see what would happen. The answer is, nothing. Great maple flavor on the inhale and rubber eggs on the exhale. Blech. Add to the mix that I prefer to be a zero nicotine vaper and this was only available in 6mg/ ml at the time of purchase, Maple Melody is definitely a no go for future purchases.
Would I purchase again? Nope.
Chai 6mg/ 6ml
This 90/10 PG/VG mix was recommended by reviewers on ECF so I gave it a shot. Every now and again I get a craving for chai tea, so I figured this would be a nice occasional vape for me. On inhale I taste chai, nutmeg, clove, and something medicinal like Vicks Vapor Rub. On exhale is that same rubber egg flavor from the Maple Melody. In addition, after vaping this for about 5 minutes my mouth goes completely numb. At the time of purchase this juice was only available in 6mg/ml of nicotine, but Id rather vape zero nicotine juices. If I am going to vape a nicotine juice, its gotta taste a helluva lot better than this medicine flavored mess.
Would I purchase again? No.
Bobas Bounty 6mg/6ml
So many people talk about this juice that I just had to try it. To be honest, straight out of the mailbox I hated its artificially sweet honey and graham flavor. But I kept going back to it and trying a bit here and there. Now Bobas is a flavor I dont want to be without. This is not an all day or even an every day vape for me. However, when Im in the mood for it, nothing else satisfies. This flavor is available only in nicotine added formula, so thats a minus for me, but the performance is top notch so this is one of the rare nicotine juices I will vape. Actually, its the only nicotine juice I will vape. Should they come out with a no nic formula, I will purchase that instead.
Would I purchase again? Yes.
