for any of you wondering out there....

i think this mod may be

gold plate

nickel plate

copper

thats right i think this may be made out of 100 percent copper. Not brass which is like 80 percent copper with some zinc. but 100 percent copper. Im not for sure. im just speculating because this thing hits harder than my all brass m16 which hits hard on its own. m16 hits harder than my brass sigelei.

any copper experts out there. can i sand this thing down and have a pure copper mod. will it tarnish like brass or will it turn nasty. is it safe to handle on a daily basis. I mean our bodies need copper right?

anyone have any thoughts? that is if this idea is correct and it is in fact 100 percent copper underneath

Rapture have you considered finding an obscure tiny spot and sanding it yourself?

As far as where to get the SS. A quick Google search bought up Activape.com.

im actually sanding the whole thing now. I can confirm its copper under the plating. not brass, copper. its pink. i guess theres nothing wrong with copper except it is softer than brass because it has no added zinc. now im trying to find a way to remove all the plating in threads and stuff. i dont wanna use acid. its soaking in coke overnight.

is the copper i see copper plating on top of brass. i dont know?

I didn't even bother with the kick. It's still in the lil white box it came in.
Right now I want to get it to work with batteries only because I may give this mod away...... haven't decided yet.

ill take it from you and pay shipping. let me know. ill actually send you money to cover the shipping plus five bucks extra

I just ordered the Stainless steel diablo by tvs from activape. It has copper contacts. 60 bucks free shipping. looks very nice. was it worth the money. I really like my clone but i removed all the plating and its pure copper now.

Cooper contacts have to be cleaned often. I let it sit in vinegar once a week on my last mod. (Or maybe it's the high humidity where I live? )

thanks for the tip. i am familiar with copper now that i have stripper my gold platted diablo clone down to bare copper. It actually looks beautiful. I clean it with ketchup every few days. I believe ketchup has vinegar in it. I took an almost black penny from 1944 and put some ketchup on it and the tarnish instantly washed away to a fresh pinkish orange copper.

Anyways.... do you think the genuine stainless tvs diablo is worth the 60 bucks i spent???? How come i cant seem to find it online anywhere but the place i ordered it from??? does anyone know?

I finally was able to get it to work in 18350 mode by removing the spring from the bottom cap.
With the spring in, the pin wasn't coming up far enough to make contact with the battery.
Can someone with it take a pic of how/where the spring is supposed to sit.
Also I'd like to know if there is a different bottom cap that can be used.

You could try a spacer for the 18350 I did with mine I also used a kick as well. Mine appears to all brass as it has a couple small nicks in it deep enough to reveal if it was copper underneath. Copper is the best conductor though and I'm wondering why the copper contacts aren't working as good or better than the brass for a previous posters mod. How are you taking the voltage measurements, with a meter or one of those in line ones.

I can just feel and see it in the difference in vapor production and warmth. Worry not, I've found a way to make it fire better: Twist the lower tube till it fires, that way I feel that it now hits harder than my mod with brass contacts. A little hassle it is, as it needs two hands to be fired, but it's ok. Perhaps the switch in mine cannot be pressed hard enough to make the PV fire to its full capacity.

I can't get it in 18350 mode with Button top aw or efests. But I bought a private v2 clone tri color and problem solved. I've gotten accustomed to using the 18650 pannys though... They're the bomb

I rec'd mine today and I'm having the hardest time using my button top 18350 batteries.
It's as if the batteries are too short but using it in this mode is possible by every site/forum. 18350-18650.
