Looks like they screwed this guy regardless of the facts:

Mr Minihan, who has since been made redundant from Neston tank Cleaners in Kirkby, Merseyside, bought the fake cigarette from the online store Prezzybox.com.

Why are people so hell bent on screwing each other these days. I think everyone's afraid someone will find out their vices so they make sure to "out" someone else first to redirect attention. This is insane.

This is exactly what the UK is like these days.

I know somebody who got a £70 fine for littering because their 2 year old dropped a small bit of sausage roll onto the pavement whilst she was pushing her along the high street in her pushchair.

I work at a school and one student got a £70 fine for stubbing out a cig but outside the school gates and dropping it on the floor - he should not have been smoking in the first place though!!

So this article is not a surprise.

Hi everyone,

I've been involved with this story as I work for Prezzybox, the company that sold him the Gamucci in the first place. I thought I'd update you on the story here

He went to court yesterday and unfortunately he lost, it came down to his word against the council official's.

Easy money for the council I guess. The case for the blue led cigs is re-enforced. An e-cig that looks too much like an analogue isn't such a good thing.
