We now carry the Joye 510 HV5 4.2 ohm high resistance atomizers. All high voltage kits and dual voltage kits for the Ultra and UltraMax will now come with these instead of the standard resistance atomizers.

There are many benefits to the high resistance attys when vaping at high voltage, especially with the Alpha devices:

1. The vapor will be a warm pleasant vapor, not burning hot like you get with a standard resistance atty.
2. The flavor of your liquid will be enhanced. You will get much more flavor out of your liquid using a high resistance atty over a standard.
3. You will not use as much liquid. The HR atty will not burn as much liquid as a SR atty will.
4. The atomizer and drip tip will not get nearly as hot. This also means that you will get longer life out of your atty due to it not burning up.
5. The main advantage is that you will not have to let the RES "catch up" any longer. With the SR atty it burns so much liquid that the RES had a hard time keeping up. But with a HR atty, you dont burn near as much liquid and the RES keeps up much easier.

So basically, vaping at 6v with a HR atty is almost the same as vaping at 3.7v with a LR atty, with just slightly better vapor production.

Thanks Jack, Tmeist
I'm has Ultra with Res. I'll try

I would definitely give it a shot. Most people really like 6v. To be honest I prefer 3.7v for most of the time, mainly because you get much better battery life. But at times there is nothing better than 6v, especially with these new attys.

I'm trying out one of these new attys right now. This is my first experience with 6 volts, too. In general, I am also preferring 3.7 volts with an LR atty, but it's still quite satisfying with this setup

I never was a fan of 6v. With these new attys, its the exact same vapor production as 3.7v with a LR atty, same heat consistency (atty doesn't get extremely hot!!!) but even better liquid flavor. I am super happy with it, and I would definitely recommend at least giving it a try.

Yeah, that's why I ordered the HV kit and then a 17670 battery on the side, found that to be the cheapest way to try both since I already have plenty of LR 510 attys. I definitely do like it with this setup and am glad I tried it, but only time will tell which I prefer in the long run

The way I look at it is this. I always have my 3.7v setup. But every once in a while I'll get the urge to jump to 6v for a bit. I will usually just vape at 6v til my batteries die, then go back to 3.7v.
