I am so sorry you are having "flavor" problems. I wish I could help more. Are you using flavors that you made or bought. You might just not have found the flavored juice that makes you taste buds dance. Or if you are making them, maybe you need to adjust the %'s. It takes a little time either way. There is a deal & steals thread on here if you want to try some new juices at a sale price.

Sorry I couldn't help you but I'm sure someone will come along and have a better solution. I can welcome you to ecf because I think this is a wonderful place to be.

Good luck to you and I hope to read future posts about how happy you are with whatever it takes to make you happiest. All the aggravation is well worth the end results IMO.

I store them in basement in a cupboard and thought that steeping meant letting them sit however after a couple of weeks using the flavour is diluted and yucky. No more burst of blueberry or menthol. It's like a hint of it and old rope.

if they are good when you get them, vape 'em up. i rarely steep anything unless i don't like the way it tastes when it arrives. steeping is just letting them age. take the lid off to replace the air in the bottle, recap, shake vigorously, and let it sit. revisit after a couple days, week, month to see and taste changes. some juices will change dramatically over time. others not so much. i have had one ry4 NET (naturally extracted tobacco) that had to breathe open air for two days to be vapable. when i did that, i inverted an empty glass over the bottle to keep dust/dirt out and sampled each day. i suspected there was unprecipitated alcohol present and lowered the burn point. it was finally vapable but still did not like the taste. all vanilla. it set on the shelf a month and started to taste more tobacco. sat another month and it tasted like caramel. now it just sits. glad i only got 15ml. i change flavors alot to keep from getting burnt out on one or a few. tobacco flavor goes with me whenever i leave the house. i still buy blue ridge from mountain oak vapors. blueberry tobacco i have mentholated 5x. available in 0,9,18,24mg. the rest i diy now. trying to find a tobacco flavoring i like and will diy blue ridge in near future. getting bored with bought flavors(40+ at the time) is what got me into diy. hope this helps give you some insight. i said above i rarely steep but there are 40+ originals steeping their hearts out beside diy. happy vaping!

How long after stopping smoking does it take for vapor's tongue to start?

It starts fairly fast, within a few weeks, mine did. And it lasts usually a couple of weeks, sometimes longer - varies by individual. What a lot of people do is get a very strong tasting juice during this period and vape it. If you are experiencing this, don't try new juice flavors to test to see if you like them until it passes. Vapor's tongue makes everything taste different.

Stored open, or closed?
Glass or plastic?

Have you ever heard of it coming back after a year tobacco free? I don't know what's going on with my taste buds. I ordered some new flavors and loved all, but the last three days everything tastes muted. Even my old standbys taste flat. And you're right, I wouldn't be able to judge a new flavor right now. I have a bottle of really strong Cinnamon Roll, with 4 flavor shots, if I can't taste that I must be close to death:) I'm gonna vape that and see. Thanks, Flowerpots.

No problem :)

It can come at any time, it does come back for many. So, you aren't alone there.

Hope you get over it quickly, but until then just do the same things - drink plenty of water to keep your body and mouth hydrated.

BINGO!
I've been vaping for 18 months or so and consider myself well-versed (somewhat), yet it happened to me just the other day. Out of the blue clear sky, all 3 of my setups tasted bland, including my Kayfun, which is known for its robust flavor. I was shorting myself on water.
I finished off the evening and started the morning with plenty of ice water, and my flavor came back.
Sounds like you're either dehydrated or your coils are due for a dry burn and rinse.
