...Children children...Let the man alone(raidy)he has every right to get upset even if it was started by a misunderstanding...it seems he has solved the situation so plz let it be and calm down...nothing good can come of this nonsense...if you think your opinion of what has transpired needs to be heard just wait and think about it a week or more from now...

I can't believe this bickering and foolishness...over what...a mod...that most cannot construct without some form of help...Raidy was gracious enough to give us this wonderful device...and has not asked for a thing except that no one profit from it...an agreement was reached with sturm and so Issue solved...

once again I restate NOTHING GOOD WILL COME OF THIS CHILDISH BICKERING!!! Let this thread go back to what is was hopefully...and maybe raidy will come back alabiet much later...

And if you want to find someone to be angry at Go look at the history in the Classys...Leave this thread and its OP alone TYVM

and my apologies to anyone trhis offends but geeze get a room go to the outside thread if you feel the need to snarl at someone...this is not the place...

My 2 cents....

I have seen that type before and have been agrivated with the know it all arogance being shown not only in this thread, but another co-op thread as well. The only way to fix that 1%...is to remove them. And hopefully after that post, a mod will. No reason an amazing thread like this, or any other thread on any other forum, should suffer from one person that refuses to let it go, and had no business getting involved in the first place.

The one thing that has been niggling me is this. Many don't have the skills/equipment to make these mods. If they go find a machinist to make them then the machinist is making money off of the device. Now if an ECF member is a machinist, they can make them for sale as long as they are not making any money off of the machining of the parts. No machinist is going to make 100 parts for zero profit as there is overhead and time that has to be considered.

I guess i am just wondering why it is ok for a non-associated(or a contracted) party to profit off of a co-op, but not ok for any profits for anyone else. Does that make sense? to truly say nobody should have profits, to me anyway, means only those with the equipment and skills to manufacture these things could have them.

I'm not ranting, but asking a serious question.

As a machinist, i could make my own, but if i wanted to do a co-op, i would have somebody else make them as i won't see any profit either way and i would save tons of time by not doing the manufacturing.

hopefully that all makes sense. Again, i'm not attacking anyone, just asking a friendly question.

Does that make sense? to truly say nobody should have profits, to me anyway, means only those with the equipment and skills to manufacture these things could have them.

I'm not ranting, but asking a serious question.

It's more the design/idea/intellectual property that is being sold. A machinist turns parts. They make parts to specifications and charge for their skills/efforts. There is no difference to them if it's a genisis cap or a lug nut. There is nothing proprietary (or at least, in the case of a lathe/cnc method, the patents have expired) about making a part to provided specifications.

The design/idea of a genisis is proprietary. If you're selling a genisis it's different than selling the work to produce a part, whatever that part might be for.

So let's say you, as a machinist, decided to run a genisis co-op. Your efforts/skills as a machinist are worth something and there wouldn't be a problem with that. If you took it to the shop down the street and they charged $40 then (in theory) you could do the same and charge $40 for the machining. Where it would get sticky would be around things like "did you generate business for yourself that was out of the ordinary by running the co-op?". Straight forward would be if you currently have work backed up that keeps you busy 8 hours every day. You work 8 hours a day and always have a little more work than that. Now you still work only 8 hours a day but you use some of that time to make the genisis parts (obviously some of your other work won't get done). Then you could say that you did not profit off the idea of the genisis.

Let's say you can only find work to keep you busy 6 hours a day and you're looking for more. Now you run a co-op for the genisis and you work 8 hours for a few days. In this case you could argue that you did make a profit off the idea of the genisis. You see the difference?

For a machinist who is an active member of this board to run a co-op for the genisis and charge to do the work themselves it's probably not going to be that black and white. Either in actuality or in appearance. Probably best to just avoid it and have the work done by an uninterested/involved 3rd party. Even if it cost a little bit more than an insider might be willing to do it for.

I'm never going to run a co-op here, so that is not my motivation.

I knew that. When I said "you" I didn't mean you but you were handy because you happen to be a machinist :)

I think you put it well and i can see how you would differentiate. Hadn't thought about "profit" in that sense.

Yea, not easily put. More or less it's the answer to "Did I use/levarage that idea/design to generate profit for myself".

A special atty for Multiple sclerosis handicaped

This is a special made atty for a woman in german forum, who has MS.
It has 1.5" diameter made with a plastic tube, so she can keep it better. It has no buttons, but a tilt switch. Soon as you swings more like 30 degrees, vaping starts.

One can easily adjust the voltage from the outside (1-7Volt). Inside are two 18350 batteries, the electronic voltage regulation and the inclinometer.

It's really nice if you can help as others. She is happy with this atty, so i'm also.:)

raidy, I already found your new mod on German forum and published your great idea on our Russian e-cig topic yesterday :p
Great idea!

P.S. As far as I understand, according to pictures, you added the voltage scale later ;)

I wish I knew Russian or German...looks like I've got a few Rosetta Stones to go through :)

It helps that I always wanted to learn Russian anyway...I don't know why, it just seems to have a a certain elegance.
