So..................................
Received the long awaited Megalodon, AKA "The Don" today. I ordered the full kit which came with a LR atomiser, 2 IMR18650-1500mah 3.7v battteries (that's right, 1500mah, easily a 2 dayer!!), trustfire multifunctional charger, cartridges and The Don with your choice of fitting, I got 510. On top of the kit I also ordered 2 boxes of the LR cartomizers, 2 of their special made 5v batteries and of course a couple "keep on vaping t's". The Don is a super sleek , super sexy, super classic looking all mechanical device with nice weight to it, not to heavy but feels solid in your hand. It is not big at all, fits very well in my hand, and I'm a female with small hands! The button is wonderful. Its placed on the bottom of the unit and is easy to press. Because of hand placement on the unit the button being on the bottom is a perfect place for it, can easily be pressed with the palm of your hand or a finger. I personally use the side of my pinky, just feels comfortable to me. It also has a lock position which is very cool! And did I mention vapor production yet? Well....holy vapor! Clouds and clouds of it! I threw a 3.7v batt in and one of the LR cartos and started vaping away! Filled the room up with vapor! Ok....I'm exaggeratin, but it really does produce a lot of vapor. And flavor was very present as well, no gripes here with this setup! Only problem, or minor inconvenience I have found so far is the batteries. While the 3.7v batts fit perfectly, no wiggle room what-so-ever, the 5v batts are to small, width wise. So they wiggle quite a bit but still work great! Now on to stealth mode!! I love this little guy! One 16340 3.7v and you've got the smallest mod out there! Still gives off those huge plumes of vapor and flavor is 100% there. I won't be putting this guy down for a long time! Looks, performance, and the fact that its all mechanical gives it A+++ in my book. This one is gonna last a lifetime!

I havent tried a 14500, but the difference between the 5v batt and a 14500 is close to 1/2 inch, 5v being longer. Heres some pics......................................

Its the same diameter of a 14500 and a little less in length than 2 16340's. I believe NHaler makes a special 5v batt as well. I dont see why you couldnt use these batts in any mod that they would fit in

I am honestly surprised that 5v battery hasn't gotten more attention....couldn't that for instance turn a ggts (and possibly a ggtb depending on diameter) into a 5v unit?

Its super durable! Which is the main reason we got it. Its mostly for my husband to use at work(sheet mtal worker). Hes always up and down ladders and running all over the place so we wanted something that wouldnt break, or have electronics get blown because itwas dropped in a puddle. The only thing electronic in the unit is the batts! And those are cheap enough to replace. Als you can easily buff out any scratches (that arent to deep) since its all aluminum. So durability is its main draw, that and the "stealth mode"! Its very simple to go from "the Don" to the "Mini Don", all you do is unscrew the top and bottom and set aside the middle piece and batt, then throw in a 16340 and screw the top and bottom back together! Super easy! Only drawback about this is sometimes after switching you have to adjust the button again. Not hard to do but have to be sure you have your screwdriver handy before hand. But all in all worth the wait and money, the durability alone is worth it!

I believe you were the one who wanted a custom made mod for your husband's bday, but had no luck. I think this is a great alternative and I'm sure husband would love it seeing that it has that all metal look to it.

Well I got mine in from the UK the other day. I won it on the guess the name contest this spring. It look really nice but It didn't come with a battery and it won't take the 14500 that I'm used to using in my mods. So I ordered some of the 18650's ultrafire 3000mah. I know they are not rated at that high really. But they were cheap the are protected and run time at low watts is supposed to be excellent.

A couple of things were odd and I could see them being a bit of a pain. The threading on the top (were you screw in your atty) comes off with a twist as does the button on the bottom. I guess that's so if anything goes wrong it easy to get to. But it seems to come out a little too easy. Trying to fingure out how the button worked and it kept unscrewing some thing for the atty. I guess I'll know if it bothers me once I have actually put it through it's paces.
