Fairly new to vaping. I am really struggling with dry, red, irritated eyes since I began. I have read some people experiencing the same but am not sure if it is from the vaping or something else. My Dr doesn't know enough about this to advise me. Kudos to him for not being a know it all and admitting he isn't educated in this or potential reactions it may cause some people. I have enough juice to experiment with the levels of PG vs VG etc. It just doesn't seem to remedy my issue. It has become rather annoying as I am sober 8 yrs yet look 3 sheets to the wind all of the time! Lol! Any input is appreciated..... Oh, I am at a 60 40 blend, 12 nic level and purchase from highly recommended juice companies or producers.

Thanks,
Veruca

Hi Veruca. I don't have an answer but you might find something in these links :

HEALTH QUITTING Health, Safety and Vaping | E-Cigarette Forum

A list of symptoms when quitting tobacco and changing to an ecigarette | E-Cigarette Forum

I know from experience that allergy/sinus medicine, nose drops, and the like can effect that area of the body. I am assuming you are staying hydrated while vaping to rule that issue out. Good luck.[/QUO

Thank you so much for all that info. Very helpful and full of ideas to try and rid myself of this annoying issue. The hydration might be the culprit or rather the solution, something I must pay more attention to. I always have water in my hands but am noticing that doesn't hydrate you unless you actually drink it!! Lol! I started using eye drops to clear the red out and it is doing more damage than good. I was told by my eye DR yrs ago that we can become dependent on them to have clear eyes. It constricts the blood vessels in the eyes clearing the color but not addressing the cause. I am going to try drinking tons of water and see if this helps. Appreciate your input!! -V;)

It may very well be the seasonal allergy thing. As I've gotten older, Spring is harder on me than it used to be. Especially cedar pollen. Thank goodness for Clariton!

I have never tried allergy meds. They work for you well? Is it something I can get over the counter? Also, I have heard allergy meds can cause drowsiness. Any experience with that? I am going to pay attention to my water intake and try to see if It is a hydration issue but I do know part of this is from seasonal allergies. Unfortunately everything combined with the reaction to vaping is making the dry red eyes unbearable. I am embarrassed because people are always asking me if I am alright!! Or think I am messed up. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to respond. -V;)

Have you had an allergy test? I'd highly recommend it as it will help figure out what's up. If you do this, make sure you have all the allergens you want marked, they usually only mark the common ones.

When I was a kid I had an allergy test done and I was found out to be allergic to grass pollen and dust mites. Lawn mowing time was torture for me, and I didn't even mow it. It doesn't seem like you have any nasal allergies, but if you do I recommend Flonase. It's the only thing that's helped me.
