So I cant tell if its the spring/summer pollen thats making me so congested and hacking up phlegm (had to check the spelling on that one) or its because I am vaping all day...

Anyone else get irritated nasal passages or congestion? :(

PS - i wanted to post this in general but i was denied
Don't know if this is relevant to you, but I had to switch from PG to non-PG or VG, PG was very irritating to me. It took a couple months on PG for those symptoms to occur, but now if I vape just one cart with PG it comes back with a vengeance, so I know that's the cause of "tight chest", sore throat and nose. It's very drying, PG, so the loss of moisture really opens the door for irritations. Will definitely make allergies feel worse. I find VG has a by-product that is not very pleasant, you will feel like you have to brush your teeth more often, I feel a "greasy" sensation in my mouth, but that is ok compared to sore throats.

Quite the opposite here.

I started smoking at a young age and have been plagued by alergies all my life.
OTC decongestants, nasal sprays, and countless prescriptions were a way of life for me.
I even had a rhinoplasty performed to widen my nasal passages - didn't help btw.
When I threw out the cigarettes the nasal problems went with them.
I did get the occasional pollen induced sneezing, runny nose this spring but not for quite some time now.
I keep saline nasal spray and some generic allergy pills in the medicine cabinet , just in case, but so far I haven't had to use them.

So along with the money I save from not buying smokes I add about $50 per month for no longer needed allergy medications.

The vapor tends to make my nasal passages dryer, so I drink more water.

Nice to see so many positives from vaping.
But allergies are still allergies, those that are caused by certain dusts, pollens, and molds are still and always will be there, sometimes with increasing severity as one grows older. However there are triggers that now do not seem as severe, one theory is the inflamation etc., caused by other things for instance cigarette smoking (which we all know contain caustics, toxins, etc.), and vaping using an agent that is drying to mucous membranes. One of your body's defenses is that moisture on mucous membranes (that's why they're called that) which helps to stop penetration of irritants into your tissues, causing swelling (stuffiness) and further inflamation (redness, soreness, and irritation).
Vaping does not and cannot "cure" allergies. Now I've found a new irritant, and that for me is Propylene Glycol.

I agree with all of this. I didn't hear anyone claim a cure, but for the record..."I no longer experience stuffiness and plugged up symptoms that cigarette smoke was obviously contributing too."

Boy, that is sure right! My face in the morning looked like I had been in a fight, and felt like it too. Puffy eyes, dark circles, stuffed up nose, coughing coughing and coughing. Makes you wonder just what was in those things, doesn't it!
But unlike your symptoms stopping completely, I still have allergies. And now, sensitive to PG as well. I'm NOT suggesting going back to smoking, no way.

Yep, I've had those symptoms but only from certain juices. I've got a couple of strongly flavoured (rebottled) Dekang juices that make me feel like absolute **** the following day (like a full-blown case of the 'flu). TW and ECOPure juices have no such effect on me, thoguh.

I've not worked out if it's particular flavourings, that brand of juice or if I just had a bad batch and not sure I want to experiment too much more to nail it down as the symptoms really are pretty unpleasant.
TWM.
