It has been a long time since I have dropped in here and I have enjoyed reading many informational threads tonight.

I think my last post was in January 2011. Giving up cigarettes was one of the best life changing decisions of my life. It has been relatively easy for me, which I am thankful for.

Thank you all for helping so many years ago (2009) get the right set up. You took me out of the early atomizers and introduced me to the cart. I remember when a mod really was a mod. Thing have come a long way since then, and I like it.

Welcome back luigi :thumb:

The first thing that came to mind for me when I read your post was 'where has your vape journey taken you so far?' ... Even more so if you are still vaping, and from your last sentence I think you are :)

Welcome back Luigi :D
Reading that post makes me wonder if i'll take a break myself eventually,i usually am never this active on any forums tbh but i've been having too much fun here to stop XD
Though if vaping becomes too restricted over here i might have to quit vaping entirely which would suck hardcore.

Well you smoked benson&hedges cigarettes, that's why it was easy for you to quit. Those are the worst. No but seriously welcome back. Vaporizers have gotten so much better over the last seven years. So much more satisfying vaping with today's mods and tanks compared with the cartomizers and cig-a-likes of yesteryear.

^^ hey. I know we're not here to bum up cigarettes but I loved b&h gold. Also Golden Virginia roll-ups.

I think it's about £10.80 for 20 over here now!!!
After checking with Sainsbury's.

Pints being £5 in some pubs, drinking and smoking is a rich mans game

I remember when you could get a pint and a ten pack of No 6 for 2 shillings. That was quite a lot of money when you were 16. Golden Virginia was the best, is that still around? When I was flush I treated myself to a pack of Passing Cloud, they were oval shaped and untipped. Came in the coolest pack. Pink with a picture of a Musketeer. I looked them up on the internet, they went off the market in 72. Or du Maurier. They came in a flat pack with 2 layers of 10, they opened by flipping up one side rather than at the top of the pack. Very sophisticated.

There's much more to reminisce about with vaping than with smoking though. Can you imagine what people will be talking about 50 years from now if vaping is still around? Will people be saying, does anyone remember tanks called Kayfuns? My grandfather used one. I saw a real Silver Bullet in the Vape Museum last summer. You know they had batteries that you had to charge up every day.

B&H gold in the US are nothing like how they taste in the UK. I've sampled both, I was distressed at the taste of Benson and Hedges when I got back. I think a lot of the "best" tobacco goes overseas. I imported some Russian Marlboros one time back when you could do that. Some of the best Marlboro's I'd ever smoked! (I was kind of annoyed, when I thought it through, LOL). AND they were much cheaper....

Oh I see. No, cigarette tobacco is getting worse across the board but b&h is good-ish.
If you rip open cigarettes then you see the horrible tobacco that's got worse over the years.

Yeah GV is still about. That was the go-to.
Ive often thought about the terrible battery life we have to suffer (mtl makes that so much better)
I'm sure the kids will laugh how some of us used to go through 7 18650s a day :(
The kids will ask what was it like listening to the wireless, washing my clothes down the river and then beating them dry.

Who would have thought its 2017! I blame Samsung/Sony/LG/AW etc...

It's because the FDA mandated so many things it adulterated how tobacco tasted.

FDA has no power outside of the USA.
