Hi I was a 2 pack a day smoker. I was able to comfortably quit by using 24 mg nicotine which I still use today. I went through several different batteries until I finally found something I felt satisfied with. I too started out with the ego but it didn't quite cut it for me. Now everyone is different when it comes to what they want. I wanted something I could control the wattage and voltage on. I found something I liked in the cloupor dna 30 box mod. I can vape up to 30 watts and go sub ohm if I want down to.3. I do my own builds with a rba (rebuildable atomizer) and I find great satisfaction in that. There is a lot of different devices out there so my advice is write down what your looking for and find a device that meets those needs if the ego isn't quite cutting it for you, there are many to choose from and I'm sure you can find one that suits your needs. If your finding yourself getting cravings you might want to increase your nicotine and see how that helps. Most of all don't smoke, when you get a craving, vape instead. It really works!! I want to welcome you to the forum! I wish you the best.

when you get one of those ego type stick batteries, it might be a regulated battery, or it might be a battery where the voltage drops as you use it; either way, after a few weeks or months, you get a depreciation in performance.

when you get a regulated mod like an 18650 type mod with a screen it helps a great deal troubleshoooting when there is a problem.

That's the direction I am headed in. At first the MVP 2 looked promising, but the more I've researched the Hana 30, the more I think it will better suit me. I'm still looking over my options for rba's. I'm certainly not scared of building my own coils, I think it will enhance my experience that much more. Besides everyone else is having all the fun experimenting with coils and builds, I wanna do it too :)

If money isn't an issue I would get both. I have an MVP2 and it is just about the handiest thing ever, it lasts forever on a charge and it is really easy to adust. I have a Vamo v5, a mech, a VTR, several assorted spinner batteries and my MVP. I will probably get some sort of regulated high wattage device soon, but at this time when I run out the door it is either the VTR or the MVP that I grab.

Yes I have the mvp2 as well but I wanted a higher wattage and the ability to sub ohm if I wanted so the cloupor dna30 has been working out wonderfully for me. As for rbas why don't you start out with the kayfun. It's got fabulous flavor and it's a great rba to learn on.
