Alright. Not to sound upset, but can someone explain why this Protank Mini 2 is terrible?

Using it on an eGo Twist with Halo's Shamrock liquid, and I'm either getting no flavor, or if I turn the voltage up high a bit of flavor and a nasty burnt taste. Already tried taking out one of the top wicks, and it's still flavorless/airy. It produces plenty of vapor, but that's all. Bought 2 of these with my new Twist expecting to love them, and they're completely worthless. Anyone have any advice?

I've heard about the CE4. My only issue is that the liquids I use need glass tanks, and I won't have my Provari until the end of February at the earliest haha.

yea I know all about the juices that crack tanks threads. I vape strawberry limonade or lemonade only and I have never cracked a tank.

I've noticed that my PT2 has kind of muted my flavors a bit too. I know it's not a fair fight but my RDA gives massive flavor and vapor, where as my PT2 gives adequate Vapor and really diluted flavor. I work in the oil fields so dripping all day is kind of a no go, so I have to just kind of deal with it I guess. Although I have noticed a big difference with cotton wicks, so you may try that. It's easier to pull out a dry wick though if you have the spare heads unused. Check out building a protank on the tube of you.

ITS THE COIL. Protank 2 is NOT terrible (common its all glass and stainless steel...) . I have two and they are Perfect. Just get a pack of 1.8ohm coils Or rebuild your coil with 2mm wick and 2/3mm flavor wick, 32guage Kanthal 6 turns (it take five minutes to do..) and I promise you it will VAPE LIKE A CHAMP. Please PM me if you need - I can do it with you on Skype or whatever.
Here is a Very good video (I prefer my wick settings but a 3mm without flavor works as well).

* PS*
Anything made in China by a Chinese company will have QC issues, so out of a pack of 5 expect at least one in average DOA; Also there is oil on the wicks, the coiling is sloppy and the wicks are not neat. so I HIGHLY recommend you build your own in any case. still the tank itself is just Tank

I have been using my Protank 1 since it came out and it really has never been a problem for me BUT...I am still using the original heads for it because I recoil/rewick them.

I have however been reading many reports of quality control issues with the heads from Kanger and several other clearo companys lately. I suspect that is the real issue. They came out with a product so wildly popular that they could not keep up with demand and are now cutting corners. I have no proof but it would explain all the reports of bad heads I am seeing.

+1 on that. The quality of the coils is dismal (I got two packs from authorized dealer on Kanger's site)

Whether it's the tank or the coil, if quality control is to blame it's a bad product. If I can't buy a tank and replacement coils and have them just work, I don't want the product.

Unfortunately the only thing that approaches 100% perfection in the vaping world is rebuildables since YOU control the build. Any company can run into strings of bad luck (or bad decisions) anyone remember the PCs that couldn't count properly?

Vaping really is in it's infancy. New stuff is coming out at a frightening pace. Some of the duds are just par for the course. Many people have been recommending Kangers (myself included) because until recently there was no problem. Now there is one. It happens in any new technology.

If you buy the Tank and a pack of replacement coils It will work fine. in fact many believe its the best tank in the market. you don't want to know what I went through to make the iTaste 30 to work, and how many CArtos I burnt. give it a chance its not sunk cost.

Are you burning the coil on accident before the coil is soaked, ive done this before and it will burn the wick thats in the stock coil heads and then will have a permanent nasty burnt taste no matter what. Also I have bought a five pack of coils and 4 out of 5 of them were crap, so im trusting it is the coil because the tank itself wont do anything. Lots of cheap manufacturers for coils, if not legit, they will taste nasty for sure, ive had my fair share but love the protank, just gotta find coils that work, but when you do it will be worth it. If that doesnt help the problem then it could be a bad batch of liquid from halo, who knows? sorry cant help you more, it happens though.
