After much reading and video watching, I wanted to get into rta without actually having to build. I'm sure I could find time to do it. But hoping not to have to.

So I have istick 30 w and matching eleaf melo tank.

Is it possible to get different atomizers with different coil and ohm configurations.
If not what about a new tank ? Is there a company or something that makes different heads for a set tank?

Really want to get bigger clouds and more flavour. But would rather not get into building

Please help

The sub-ohm tank market is currently flooded with options, everything from the Starre to the Herakles to the SubTank or Atlantis.. Really there are more options than you can shake a stick at, and everyone kind of swears by their own.

I prefer the SubTank. The .5 ohm VOCC heads work a treat, and (while it's nothing compared to a sub-ohm RDA), they can chuck some pretty decent sized clouds. The coils are replaceable, but it also comes with a rebuildable section if you choose to go down that road.

Since you've expressed a desire to not get into rebuilding, you'll be limited to what's currently on the market concerning tanks using factory-made replacement coil heads. Companies are quickly responding to the type of vaper you are.

You'll never get the flavor & vapor production with a tank that you can achieve with a rebuildable drip atomizer, but you can get close. Popular clearomizer tanks like the Aspire Nautilus & Aspire Atlantis would suit you well. Others will chime in with their favorites. I suggest that you go to YouTube, do a search on the particular tank you're interested in to watch a review/demo of that specific tank before you buy.

I think the atlantis coils will work in the Melo (also possibly maybe other manufactures coils). That would be an cheap way to try something different.
Using a coil from a different manufacture might be enough of a change for what your looking for.
Otherwise I suggest the Eleaf Lemo as a cheap starter tank the you can build your own coils to your preferred resistance.

For example - I use a Lemo with 28 gauge Kanthal wrapped 7 times around 3mm for a resistance around 1.5ohms.

Ok sounds good.
So it doesn't have to be under 1 ohm for high vapour and flavour?

Can be confusing sometimes as it's not just wattage volts and ohms but also it appears coil structure/amount of coils/coil density

Would be alot of experimenting. Be nice to have 2 heads I can switch between depending on wether or not I want a massive cloud or huge flavour as getting both ar dame time doesn't seem possible with retail bought heads?

That's not necessarily accurate.

The 1 ohm and .5 ohm Kanger VOCC heads produce almost the same amount of vapor, but the .5 wins by a hair probably because the wick holes are wider = more juice can get to the wick at any one time. That said, in terms of flavor, I prefer the .5 ohm head over the 1 ohm head. More vapor doesn't always mean more flavor, as there are a lot of other influences on flavah, but in the case of the VOCC heads I've found the .5 to win both in terms of flavor and vapor production.

Ahhh, Welcome to the world of vaping. From what I've found in my limited time is that it's a never ending search for more flavor, more vapor, more cost savings.

I choose stay above 1 ohm to conserve juice and save money. The trick is finding the right coil/wick/juice/tank/wattage combo to give me the flavor and vapor I want.

Sub ohm vaping will give you bigger clouds, but clouds and flavor at the same time takes lots of power and lots of juice.

And yes, coil shape, consistency, wicking material, wick amount, VG/PG ratios, atmospheric temperature, angle of the sun, and neptunes aligment all influence the vape quality.

Yeah seems like this way.
I even read you must let the juice steep.
Guess like anything some ppl are connoisseurs. I just want lots of flava and smoke. Is this too much to ask for ?
:(

Try a SubTank. They come with 2 sets of heads by default, so you can try the .5 and the 1 ohm heads to see which you prefer.

It's about 30 or 40 dollars on most sites (check the Deals & Steals thread for super crazy discounts/coupon codes). I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yeahdo they also have several options for coil style?
Ohms is fairly common to be able to change now in a head. But have no idea about coil design.

Saw the aspire v2 atomizers they look identical and come in 3 different ohm amounts .3 .5 and 1

Thay morph tank looks cool too

Mind you, a .3 ohm atomizer won't work with your iStick 30W. I think the lowest that'll fire is .5 ohms.

And yes, they all have different coil designs, which is pretty much the only real difference between them. Some find that they wick better with certain juices than others, or some people prefer different airflow options (people say the Starre has massive airflow compared to the SubTank), etc...

The best way other than buying one and seeing how it is (sort of blindly) would be to get to a vape shop and see if you can find other customers or employees willing to give you a toot on their setup (most people will ask you to use your own drip tip, or use a "drip tip condom" to prevent germs). The only real way you'll find out which you prefer is to try 'em out.
