Usual juice: Cosmic Fog/Suicide Bunny

Battery: MVP 20W ( settings 3.5A - 6.5W on average ).

Recently been getting very odd burnt taste ( burnt sort of ), with brand new kanger coils 1.8 - 2.2 ohm and even 2.5 coils.( both with exposed wick and enclosed wick coils ).

Tried in Kanger T3s tank, evod glass kanger, and ProTank 2. Same result. Currently only have the ProTank 2 as I threw the others out.

I have to suck/pull really hard when vaping to avoid the burnt/odd taste.

What is there better than these Kanger stuff. Looking for something plug and play. I really dont have time to fiddle with rebuilding and cotton. I dont mind buying new tank if other coils or methods give better vaping experience.

PS: I dont know what or how dripping works, but if it's not something I have to replace cotton Im interested.

i hated my protanks. might wanna try an iclear 30s. they are a very underrated tank that you can prob pick up for cheap. i used mine on my mvp 2 all the time, never had any trouble with them.

ACtually still have those, they were very dry the hits, and didnt last very long. Havent used them in forever.

I let it sit for about 5 minutes, not sure what prime means.

Priming is getting the wick wet with ejuice before first firing. This starts the capillary action the wick needs to do it's job: getting liquid to the coil.

You can do this by putting some drops on the wick before you put it in the tank or before firing the first time, cover the little air intake hole and giving the tank a couple of quick "puffs".

The replacement coils on those tanks you mentioned---unless things have changed recently---use a silica wick. These are much more resistant than cotton to getting burnt but if you fire them too hard when they're dry you definitely can scorch them.

If scorched--that burnt taste is there for good.

Turn the wattage down.

What do you mean by "3.5A - 6.5W" ? Do you see 3.5A somewhere on the screen?

3.5U

I have turned the robber grommet from the coil upside down. This helps a bit a lot with burnt taste, but is significantly harder to get a good smoke out ( must pull/suck pretty hard ). I have to increase volts to about 3.8 and w to about 7, with a 2.2 ohm coil.

So is there anything better than this Kanger stuff, initial question. How about that Atlantis stuff?

The Protank coils are sooo easy to build- I'm twisting one as I type. Cheap, easy and with some good cotton the Protank is still a great tank. 50/50 mix and I NEVER get any gurgling or flooding. Try it- you'll like it.

I will add- I needed a new blank coil to make an extra coil for the Protank 2. I took the new Coil from it's wrapper and thru it in the tank - primed and let it sit for 10 min. It was only two good hits before I could taste that all familiar burned wick flavor beginning to pop thru. Took it out and thru in a home built coil and it's just heavenly----- Can't beat DYI MPP- 30 ga. 1.8 ohms @ 8 watts

Well if you are "must pull/suck pretty hard" getting a tight draw, that would be because of the airflow being down in the 510 threadwell; there are many tanks like that.
Too bad you threw out the evod; it wouldn't have that problem.
My guess for starters is you probably have the tank screwed in very tight and it is causing airflow problems.

btw, you have to set volts,
or
you set watts.
not both.

The 3.5U is probably the battery charge; it's just telling you how charged your battery is.

hal5000, since you have said you do NOT want to build coils (and I understand that; I also understand it is *easy* and *not hard* and certainly something I am capable of......but I simply don't WANT to do it ;)) so I will not suggest it to you since you have already said you don't WANT to do that.

I am a high VG vapor, and sometimes, you may find that "lastest greatest" doesn't work the *best*.

I really know of NO COILS in a store-bought clearomizer that is *great* with high VG. So maybe consider these 2 options:

1) get a reo bottom feeder, and use shorty cartos or over the counter atomizers (like Cisco) with them. Fantastic vape, works perfect with High VG.

2) try a carto tank system with 3 holes punched in carto. They do well with VG

I have never had a clearo coil last me more than 3 days vaping high VG, and I've owned every one that has come out since 2012. :) I stopped using clearos for the most part back when I first started vaping, and if I had not had a bottom feeder I probably would not have quit smoking at all....

Unfortunately I dont know what most of those terms are.

I have an MVP 20W.

Can you give a link on what to buy, just say "ok this is what you need, buy it".

I guess Suicide Bunny and Cosmic Fog needs some next level ..... Money is not a problem, I will spend as long as it's no hassle to use ( changing cotton etc.)

PS: If somebody wants to sell me rebuild coil with that special cotton for my Kanger tank, I'd buy..
