Alternative to lr901 atomizers?

Hi everyone. I'm at this now for about 2 months and have settled on the cigar-type reva (sp) with a lr901 atomizer. I'm a heavy "sucker" and the atomizer may be getting too hot. Also I use mostly french vanilla liquid. Problem is the atomizers get gunky and taste burnt after a few hours at best. Is there a different type of atomizer I can use that doesn't have this problem? I don't like the carts nearly as well so that really isn't an alternative.
