Hey folks,

This is the first mod I was not too ashamed of to post

I made a fairly successful usp pass through and a pretty getto 14500 copper mod before working on this one. This is pretty straight forward and I dont think anything anyone her has not seen before but this one is mine :) Please excuse the nasty soldering on the batt connection, getting a nice clean hole on the tin box was harder then I thought. My less then proffesional soldering skills contributed to the mess as well.

18650 batt, 12 mil juice and room for 3 carts. I guess I am a moderate vaper so this setup gives me about 5 solid days of vaping totaly independent of the need for any other supplies. I can have the bottle with my primary and a couple extra carts for desserts, coffee or whatever.

This is my first time using a large battery and it really seems to vape differently. I am using it on boge lr carts and I am loving it!

I am a fireman and when we go out for a call we never know for sure when we will be getting back. I am on a special unit so it could actually be a really long time. I found myself running around collecting batterys, juice, carts "Crap should I bring the charger?"

With this I can just grab it and go, confident that it has everything I need in a rugged little box.

I am just starting to mod so these are actually only the second switches I have used but yeah I am getting similar results. I keep opening the box to see if the battery connector is solid. Sometimes pressing harder on the switch clears it up. Your post helps confirm it for me.

The great State of Texas
I don't have pics but the last few weeks I've been using a variant of that mod blended with a shan burkholder mod on utube I just super glue the carto to the syringe body at the point it necks down into the luer lock and use the plunger end with a hole cut in the middle as the top gasket. No leaks works great cost very little. i haven't had a carto go bad yet but when it does I think I can just snap off the syringe body and use it again.

yeah they suck, theres a bag of switches kinda like them for the same price, they are like white stemmed with a red or black type cap... those are an improvment for the same price point... imo, i havnt used them, but i sold a puck with one of those differant type switches on there and he hasnt really complained any...

yep! you got it, you gotta push down pretty dang hard ALL the time... i didnt like that... but thats a pretty rugged mod box like you said right? is that metal too thin or gets the bends in places though? your ground wire is the box itself isnt it? am i right?

the single button ones that are like 3.97 a pop are GREAT i have and use like 3 of those... there like the horn switch madvapes sells but its from rat shack... so far they are workin great for 2 of my mods... (1-3.7v& 1-4.8v) i dont like the price though,

BTW rat shack will take exchanges, i broke a 4$ switch trying to bend the connections, the next time i was there buying some resistors, i told they bout it and the guy told me to bring it in for full exchange mode... pretty cool i thought, juss a lil fyi if your like me and are forced to use the rat shack for some things...

mad vapes has great prices on alot of things though, and AWESOME service (juss sayin)

You could just turn the switch and glob it in with epoxy :)

I did something similar on the later AA mods. Bent the lever a bit, and made a bracket with the two screws for mounting the switch. I epoxied the bracket to the inside of the box so that there wouldn't be any protruding screw heads. Nice thing is that I could change out the switch if need be. Better still, is that the switch is rock solid and I haven't had too. :)

Your Altoids looks good.

I've used this 3 amp micro switch in a few mods; it is a pleasure to use and reliable.

Looks like Ralph's switch is similar design w/ smaller form factor.

Madvapes C&K is easier to install and pretty reliable but not as luxurious to actuate.

I can change out my switch with a hammer :)

I'd like to watch that......:laugh::lol:

Actually, I think the switches will probably outlast the atty connector and perhaps even the tin itself. I have experimented with several clear coats to protect the outside of the box, but haven't found one that doesn't chip off over time.

Sweet! Plenty of room in there for spare batteries, juice and other supplies. :)
