I see all these threads and posts about 3.7V being lame or something.

Now granted I have not tryed 5V 6V 7.2V yet but I was a 1.5 pack a day Winston Red guy for a long time and 3.7 does pretty well for me.

Once I finish building my copper pipe mod I guess I will need to stack some 123's and see what the hype is about.

But in the mean time why is 3.7 seeingly considered weak and lame?

My personal opinion...

I like 3.7v vaping, and don't much like anything higher.
The higher voltages make my juice taste burnt.

But I think it depends, in the end, on how long your drags are.

I like LONG drags, and high voltage will crush your juice if you take long drags.
So for me, 3.7v with nice long drags gives me wood.

YMMV.

It isn't considered lame by all. That's what I use most of the time, and I smoked 1-2 packs a day for over 35 years. I do also use a PT with my 5V Kensington powerpack at times. I think there is a difference there. Still, the standard, "lame", batteries are just fine for me.

This thing can become a hobby, and it DOES for many folks.

well now that you mention it I do have a passthru hanging off my lip right now, I do not believe it to be 5V though. It is a slight bit stiffer than a battery but good long drags my my Dr. Pepper juice shine buddy.

I like 3.7 more then I thought I did. I was all about trying 5 and 6v and it doesn't impress me much. I find myself using my ego more than anything.

I think the issue for me is more big fat batteries and B.O.B. looking pv's then the actual vape. I have small hands so I look pretty weird walking around with my indulgence and extender cup attached.

I vape anywhere between 3.7v and 5v. It really depends on the atty/carto I am using, as well as the juice. Some perform better at different voltages.

Right now at work I am using a premium carto on a standard KR808 battery. Tonight I may use a 510 atty on a 5v homemade mod, or a LR atty on an eGo. I like having options.

No you are not a rare breed. A lot of people like vaping at 3.7 or 4. But... Most of those people use Low Resistance atomizers that simulate high volt vaping at 3.7v. It just makes juices taste a little better and gives you much more vapor. It's not all that much more "hardcore" like 6v vaping is. I know some people that vape at 12v... That's overdoing it and a possible unhealthy addiction to throat hit if you ask me

Hi Hoyt. When I started using 6V on my home made copper pipe mods with a high resistance 901 atty I was sure I could never go back to 3.7V. I guess I was wrong because I fid myself using one of my 510 mods with an 18650 battery and 510 cartos most of the time now. I use the 901 hv setup as an occasional treat because it does give superior flavor and vapor but these cartos are pretty good and if I fill 4 or 5 in the morning I don't have to screw around with a dropper bottle all day. I like that.
