more then a week of trouble shooting has been gone and still we have not found an explanation for the fact that we both run trough our batts twice to tree times as fast as we used to.

the short story:
the problems started a couple of weeks ago, all my 11 month old batts showed bad performance and discharge much faster all of a sudden. we didn't change the atty's nor the mods nor the liquid base we use. bought me 15 brand new batts, same problems. the mini's needed a good clean and the one year old Pila charger wasn't charging the batts high enough anymore. so bought me two brand new chargers, a Pila and a XTar. the performance improved, the time to discharge not.

the vendor is increadably patient with me, we have been mailing back and forth all week, ask me to do tests, she even did some tests herself. so now we are left with us changing our vaping habbit or those brand new batts. she offerd me to test one, i can send it to her in the UK and then she send it to the US as her test facility is over there. am very interested coz 15 of those batts is a lot of money for me, but it's such a hassle for her so i want to make sure that its worth it.

so the question is: can it really be that we both at the same time change our vaping habbit so much that we use up those batts twice as fast, wouldn't we have noticed at least something? like vaping away twice as much juice?

so far all we notice:  "allready?" *check voltage...swap batt* :glare:

we should notice a bit more then that right?

yes indeed, measure them before i put them on the mini to see if they survived their bath and when they are new i measure them on arrival for DOA's. most of them are 2.2 ohms, some 2.1 or 2.3, anything above goes into the bin :)

hehe, me and LR atty's aren't a good match, i drain the batts way too low, learned that leasson quite a while ago :D

Do you run the batts until they are dead or past 3.8V (40% power left)? That can have an effect on your battery life. As with what others have noted. LR can drain your batts a bit more quickly compared to SR.

If you have a multimeter. Then you can check your batts when they're charged. This will give you a clue as to the problem that your experiencing right now. Normally when a batt is fully charged. It should be around 3.17 to 2.25. Which is about normal. Anything outside of that range will mean that it's due to the battery or charger. Highly doubt that since all the batts and chargers you have now are brand new.

I'm thinking you made a typo- right?... the AW 3.7V comes off the charger between 4.15 and 4.2V

It sure is looking like the batteries at this point. If it was just one mod I would want to dig deeper into the mod but two.

indeed...... just thought of something, could do one more test, check the voltage before i go to bed, leave the batt in the mini overnight, as we always do, and when i wake up check them again. we are button machers, i know mine is close to being mashed completely. alltho don't think my love's mini is that far yet, you repaired it back in oct, and it still looks good so far. our third one is waiting for me to send it to you as that one has a mashed button.

Jeann and your deducting the resistance of the meters leads from your total readings on those atty's?

yep, the multimeter has a resistance of 0.3 ohms, so the actual display say 2.5 ohms.

LOL sorry about that. Yeah, it's definitely a typo. I meant 4.17-4.25V (anything over would be considered overcharged).

yes indeed, we tested the batteries and the chargers endlessly, am pretty close to throwing the multimeter out of the window  before i bought the new batteries i tested my 15 old ones twice  didn't know back then that the minimum voltage needed for good performance is 4.15v and my old Pila charged them a tat below that.
