Ok, so i started vaping last Thursday, started off with a basic kit from my local shop, basic 900mah ego type batteries, clearo's, etc.

it seems like most of the time the juices i am using taste burnt, and burn my throat a tiny bit, for example. I had winston juice in my vision v2 clearo, was good, then to switch flavors since the bottom peice of this one does not come off to rinse it i just poured water in and dried it, stupid. after that put in Marlborough and the clearo didn't work right and gurgled for a while, then it went away and tasted fine and worked fine. after that i decided to switch to french vanilla, so i just put it in with the rest of the Marlborough and it tasted funny and i didn't like it at all.

finally i poured Marlborough back into the same clearo when the french vanilla was low, and since then it tastes very burnt and harsh, maybe cause of the mixing.

a bit of info, these juices are 70/30 pg/vg, 20mg nic, from a NB vendor.

right now i only have 1 good clearo, the first 2 i got seemed very low quality, got a kanger T3 but it gives VERY airy draws, unusable, so stuck with this vision v2 till next week.

so, any ideas?

what about switching flavors in these vision v2s that dont come apart, and rinsing them?

from what I have been seeing, they don't really interest me and i find it looks like more work to use those, i wanted to try to stick to clearo's, going to get viva novas with a vamo next week.

I have been using clearos (with twist and spinner batteries)or 9 months now. Had trouble with the V2s. (leaking, gurgling, dry harsh hits, etc.) If you step up to the V3 rebuildables, (the Vivi Nova Minis are nice too) it should alleviate those issues. A variable voltage battery helps alot too.. I have found some juices are harsh at the standard voltage the egos put out. If you are able to dial them down a little, they are not so harsh.
Also, watch some of the videos on how to properly clean and dri burn your clearos. Some of this just takes a little trial and error. You will get the hang of it. Hope this helps a little. Good Luck!

Not too long after I started, I started finding that many juices I was using were extremely harsh on my throat. A burning ('dry') coil has a very distinctive taste, like an electrical fire smells- I don't think that's what your describing. For me switching to VG juices made a huge difference (and higher quality juice.) I also think there's a period right after you quit smoking where you're less sensitive to the nastiness of some juices.

G'Day sivo,
With my eGo batts I found I would get a burnt taste if I held the button down too long on sweet EJuices, my French Vanilla is about the same pg/vg mix and I have to watch that or use a different batt which as a vaper for ?months I, along with many others on this forum seem to obsessively collect. The VV's are very good to overcome this problem and some juices just need a lower heat, imnoho!!
However what i have settled on an am so happy with are the simple CE's - that is cartos from S.I. and Phoenix Flux from Got Vapes. They hold about 1 ml, easy to clean, good flavour and vapor and cheap as they mostly last well. I just syringe them out and re-use and re-use. I have tried some of the fancy ones and have a Kanger sitting here to try but have been so disappointed in some without heart at the moment to crack the Kanger or the mini tank.
Just my experiences and btw if you get that gurgling on vaping, just remove clearo and try a gently blow down central airpipe.
Cheers and keep experimenting with vaping. You will find what suits you. Love that Vape!!!

You could spend a lot of $$$ trying out different tanks, cartos, etc....If you are getting a very light draw out of that t3 it is probably an issue of voltage....try a variable voltage Ego Twist and crank it up a little.....instead of buying tank after tank, carto after carto.

I will do that with the T3, i figured there was something wrong lmao. i will be getting a vamo next week, do T3's work well with a vamo?

The balance between voltage, resistance, wicking, and flavor is critical. If you aren't getting good vapor production from your clearo, then it's not wicking enough juice to the coil. Dry hot vapes are generally a dry coil or too low resistance for the voltage you are vaping.

Vision Vivi Nova with a 2.8 ohm coil is good for me at 3.7v to 4v on a Provari. Variable voltage will help you find your vaping level once you find the right resistance and juice. If it's not sizzling quietly when you press the button, it's probably too dry. A good vape will usually sound like bacon frying when you hold it to your ear.

If your coils are 1.8, and you are using a non-variable voltage battery, that might be part of the problem. Jump up to a coil in the 2.2 to 2.4 range and see if it gets rid of the burnt taste.

As far as the Kanger T3's being airy, yep! There are 3 little holes drilled in the bottom of the base (down where the pattern is in the metal), try plugging one or two of them. That should help tighten the draw.

Ok, but airy to the point where i get no throat hit and very little vapor.. also with no liquid in it i put tape over all 3 holes, and just drew like that, still very airy it felt.

right now i am using a vision V2 clearo, with no twist off bottom, dont even know what ohms it is. using a 24 mg reds ejuice and its harsh.
