Okay, so about a month ago I ordered one of the new MBV flavors from their GWAR line of e-juices. It's called Jizmoglobin and as you can see in the reviews everyone loves this flavor. Well, when it arrived in the mail I opened it up and smelled it & it had a butterscotch smell to it, now in the past when I get a juice like that ("French Toast" from "Quick Nic Juice" or "Deadly Sin" from "Good life Vapor") and it has that smell, I never like it, it's always gag worthy to me, but, I got those juices because the reviews were so good. Anyway, I thought, "maybe my set up is just bad for these kinds of juices" my current set-up is a Ego-C battery with a pre-punched cartomizer in a IBTanked glass with stainless steel ring carto tank. So I figured I'd buy a clearomizer the Aspire ET BDC Clearomizer Tank so after having steeped Jizmoglobin for a month I put it into the clearomizer & at least I wasn't gagging, but, the taste is just not there, I can't explain it other than just being bad. I don't think I burned it either, I always prep correctly & I never have any issues with fruity/sweet flavored juices.

Quick side note: When I first stated vaping I used an ego-c starter kit and I had a vanilla flavor from MBV and it was great with the atomizer, but, when I switched the juice into a carto, it had that same crappy gag flavor to it. Don't know if that will help with solving this?

So, if anyone can help me out with this that would be great! Am I using the wrong gear for these juices? Do you prep a certain way, etc. I really want to like these juices, they sound so good, but, honestly if I can't find a solution then I'm just going to stick with flavors I know will be safe, and that's boring since there are so many other good flavors out there. Thanks in advance, let's figure this out!

That "butterscotch" smell is the custard flavors. Many people absolutely love these including me. That's how Suicide Bunny got so popular because they are all creamy custards. However, for every person that loves custard flavors there's someone that absolutely hates them.
I believe you are in the second category. Changing your tank probably isn't going to fix this. Just from now on you know if the description says creme, custard, creamy etc. it isn't going to be for you.

I'm starting to think I'm in the non-butterscotch/creamy/custard-y team myself. I've only been vaping for about 3 weeks now, but I've gotten a .....-ton of different juices from various vendors in the past . I didn't really understand steeping at first, so most of my juices have only been officially steeped (cap-off, bedside drawer) for about a week at most, but I'm definitely gravitating towards the fruity flavors, at least for all-day vapes. Fruity or fruity/icy seems to be my sweet spot, but my current favorite is Amazing Apple from TheVaporPro. I'll try some of the creamy flavors after they've steeped another week; maybe they just need some more time.

Right one, welcome to the world of vaping! I've been vaping for a little over a year & this is a great site to ask questions and start discussions. I've gotten a few responses from http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/ were I posted the same question & people are also saying I probably just don't like the flavor.

I know a guy that uses the cartos , old school 901 threads, on device and cuts most everything except tobacco flavor with VG. never ask why but this experience your having may be the reason. However MBV Ive notice has a hard time making the same juice twice. Not sure if they are refining the recipe's or what. To many variables to making juice I guess. I currently have two 236mil MBV bottles of US Blend tobacco sitting here that are 16 and 18 weeks old... the 16 week one is darker and doesn't taste bad the 18 week is still clear and taste horrid. just my 2 cents. and both r 80/20 vg/pg 18 mil nic. The last juices I recieved from MBV I noticed I smoke a lot of, taste is great but nic lvl is none existant, craving cigs continuously and giving in occasionally.
