Am I experiencing too high MG or too much throat hit?

Still learning the ropes here, and after about a week I am still not sure I found that magic forumla....

When I take a hit of my 24MG Nuport, it seems a little harsh to me like it's too strong and am on the verge of coughing; is that more indicative of too high a dosage and I should try a weaker one (like 18mg) or is that just throat hit?

Not sure what I need to adjust here...

Id agree - try a slighly lower nic level and see if adding some VG in helps smooth it out.
I have some at high PG and high nic that take my throat out and makes me cough - a little VG (10-20% for me) seems to smooth it out and the lower nic helps too - I cougha lot more on high nic than low and on high PG than a mix.

Totally, 24mg is VERY strong.
You should begin with 18mg (or 11 with a 5volts mod..)

Thats not a fair statement. 24mg is strong for some people and weak for others.

Try a different flavor, I always remember menthol being sorta harsh. Too much nic won't make you cough, it will give you a headrush, headache, upset stomach, etc.... at least for me anyway. I can't tell the difference in TH between 12mg and 24mg of the same flavors. Higher nic seems more flavorful though.

Wouldn't hurt dropping, but me guesses in another couple weeks you may be looking for that massive TH. I could hardly hit my 510 when I 1st got it, I coughed like mad. It passed and I had to up my voltage to get a good TH after a month. Drop the mg if you think you can stay off the cigs, but you'll figure things out by trial and error.

Now to me though, there is TH and Throat irritation, Nuport is menthol correct? Some juices like AC and menthol juices give me TI, and IMO that's not the same as a true TH :2c:

Voltage of the unit being used can play a part in TH as well as nic level and PG amount - usually the cartos say on them (the pack not the individual carto) what they are, or on the website you buy from them when you are making a purchase.

At V4L, they are listed as either PG or VG, so it doesn't appear they sell anything with a mix. Do other suppliers?

for me 18mg is the sweet spot. 24 is way to strong. But I do both. When I use my GLV-2 @5v,24 chokes me to death. 18 is a little high but after a few hits it goes away. Even with KR808 I have 24 is to strong. 18 is the ticket nice and smooth. PG hurts my lungs. with a mix its no problem. I use V4L Wowboy juice. Its my all day vape. TH is questionable for me. some juice I like it while others I dont. I would rather have juice that reminds me of smoking a real cig. Kind of harsh but not to bad. Wowboy fits the bill for me. Kind of reminds me of Marlboro but with a hint of mint. I hate menthol!!! Tried some chocolate mint and it tastes just like a Kool! YUCK!!!!!

Ok thanks everyone.

I think I got sort of mislead by some samples; I started out with some fruity/candy type samples at 24 and they seemed perfect. Its the tobacco ones at 24+ that are killing me.

Would it be a relatively fair statement to say that Kamel 36mg is sort of like a camel no filter?

Blech! If so that gives me a better idea what to look for, my cig of choice for a long time has been Marlb. Menthol Light. The 24mg Nuport I have is sort of making me sick
