What worries me now is the juice, I did buy alot of samples and I'm not really sure how much juice we are really using. Also I haven't really find a juice that I think is the one yet. Ordering juice samples can cost alitle for each bottle but it adds up. In the beginning when I just had my kit w/ carts, I wasn't using as much. Then when I purchase some cartos, it felt like my juice was going faster. It scares me sometimes thinking if i don't order more juice I might run out.

what kinds of juices are you preferring? tobacco? fruit? candy? maybe we can help you choose.

I don't even want to tell you how much I have spent since November. Let's just say I blew my budget. My only problem is I still haven't found the perfect PV yet. Looking for a good 5v that will last, perhaps need to save for a VV. As far as juices goes, I had the same fear until I found DIY. It is so very easy and inexpensive once you get set up and read the DIY eliquid threads here. Onestopdiyshop.com has a couple of starter kits and then extra supplies. They have some videos and instructions on how to also. (There are more on the threads here too.) Start reading there and go for it. If you make small bottles of test liquid to start as onestop shows in the videos, you have nothing to loose if it doesn't turn out right, mere pennies.

Now on to finding that perfect PV, lol! (What is a GGTB mod and where do I research it?)

OK
I bought a 510 then a ego a week later along with cartos, low resistant attys more carts, more flavors, unflavored juice, vg, flavorings.... pretty much everything I could think of... I think it's normal... it's exciting, and cool. everyone around here got into it when I started, ended up with 5 of us "smoking" these things. lol now my nonsmoking, ratted me out for smoking every chance she got when we were kids, sister keeps stealing my ego! :/ sometimes they're just too neat

The bottom line is that if it keeps you two from smoking, then no. If the supplies keep both of you off the analogs for six weeks, you've broke even. Usually, I see people buying $15 disposable carto kits at a gas station and thinking it will keep them off of cigs forever.

More importantly, you've got 'some skin in the game' and made a commitment with your own money. I used to donate my old mods to smokers with health problems and completely set them up; half of them didn't follow through. I found that if I told them I had almost everything, but they needed to buy batteries or a cheap charger for $5-10, the ones who had excuses wouldn't stay with it. No skin in the game.

Good luck, and welcome to the vaping community.
