I had the same mindset when I first started. I didn't think the fruity or non-tobacco flavors would appeal to me, but I ended up buying "tobacco" and "fruit" sampler carto packs from SI just to give both a try. I actually enjoyed the tobacco flavors, although they were nothing like cigarettes or tobacco. The fruit flavors were nice, but I tend to only want those later in the evening.

I can't comment on other vendors as I haven't tried them yet; I've only been vaping for 4 months, but I'm enjoying the SI flavors of 555, Desert Joe and RY4. Although they don't really have a tobacco flavor, what I like is that they're kind of "neutral". They definitely have flavor, but they're good with my morning coffee, after meals, etc.... basically at times when I would have smoked a regular cigarette. The fruity flavors have appealed to me much more than I thought they would, but I only find myself in the mood for them later in the evening or while relaxing in front of the TV or on the computer. (indoors, and at times when I would never smoke analogs).

When I first ordered everything, I primarily bought tobacco flavored juice. I was hoping to duplicate the perfect tobacco taste (camel) but wasn't impressed. The first few didn't really taste like much, let alone tobacco. Then I tried berry and grape... LOVE them!

Then I tried a 555... I wanted to puke.

Honestly I'm done with the tobacco flavors, and I don't feel the least bit disappointed.

Anyone else the same way?

Honestly I'm done with the tobacco flavors, and I don't feel the least bit disappointed.

Absolutely not. I found quite a few Vendors with Tobacco flavors that I love (and crave!) Now when I started vaping this wasn't the case... most of the Tobacco flavors (way back then..lol) tasted horrible! All I vaped (pretty much) when I began vaping was 'flavors' as opposed to Tobaccos...... We've come a long way baby.... Find a good Juice Vendor that carries Tobacco flavors that seriously 'taste' like Tobacco and you'll think the 'fruit' and 'candy' flavors don't taste as well. Taste is 'subjective' so you may have to 'search' to find the right Vendors, but once you find YOUR Tobacco flavor, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.... ;) For real. :smokie:

No I don't... opposite for me. I started with fruits and went to sweets while continuing to smoke. So, I made the rounds of tobacco liquids and wasted a lot of money on the disgustingly nauseating smells and horrible tastes IF I could get past the smell to even try vaping it. Then I tried Mr E Liquids Grey Matter after seeing a youtube review. Over many, many, years I smoked many, many, brands of cigarettes culminating in Pall Malls for the price and used plastic filters on the full flavors. Grey Matter which I actually think is a tobacco mimic actually but I can't provie it... its a secret LOL... gave me that full flavor feel and taste but without the awful bitterness of a cigarette. Its my ADV now and I seldom venture back to complex sweets except for the occasional sugar cookie or graham cracker.

PS: came back to say... when its out of the mail, it has a taste no one can describe as far as what flavors they pickup but some say a mellow pipe tobacco... I wouldn't know as I never smoked a pipe but will say that it changes as weeks go on steeping until all I can taste is a really goooood cigarette without its bad tastes. If they had this when I started smoking I never would have.

I have struggled finding a tobacco flavor I could like. I started DYI and found I can make an RY4 to my taste much better than trying to find something at a juice store. Actually my friends and family keep comming to me wanting more of my RY4 blend as they prefer it over commercial blends. I also have been making a lot of fruit blends that I think are great and prefer to most tobaccos. The only exception is the Gandolf fron HHV, that is one of my favorite commercial juices and an apple tobacco from HDV.

Hi there
so what do u propose me for flavors close to Vanilla and Mint?

I advise vape noobs to avoid tobacco flavors for this very reason. If it is a tobacco flavor, you will expect it to taste like a burning cigarette.

It's not gonna happen. Get over it now.

Whereas, if I give you a candy or drink flavor, well, it tastes like what you expect. My DIY tastes just like a wint-o-green lifesaver. I'm not addicted to tobacco, I'm addicted to nicotine.

My friend Scott was absolutely and in no uncertain terms dead-set against using an e-cigarette of any kind, for any reason, specifically because he had tried (and been disappointed by) the cheap convenience-store junk his family had tried to get him to use so many times in the past. His biggest complaint -- like yours, pilotman -- is that he couldn't find one with a juice that tasted anything like tobacco.

He now swears by Halo Torque 56. Whereas I like their slightly sweeter Tribeca, I would have to agree that, so far, Torque 56 is the closest flavor to real tobacco you're likely to find.

I am, of course open to being turned on to even better flavors.

I agree. This is my ADV.

For tobaccos I've been sticking with NET tobaccos. Recently I've been enjoying goodejuice vita bella and prime vapings nostalgia. I made the mistake of getting into several tobaccos with tobacco absolute, which isnt bad of course, some juices out there are okay with TA. Just been enjoying macerated tabaccos NETs is all.

I really have not had a good experience with tobacco flavors unless they are blended with so many other flavors that the tobacco flavor was an after thought and even then not an all day vape for me. It sounds like some of them have greatly improved so maybe I will give them a try again, but not today. I did not like the flavor enhancements in real cigarettes and I think that may be where a lot of the original tobacco flavors came from. Like everything else smoke juices seem to be evolving and improving so I will try to keep an open mind about it. My tastes are also evolving and flavors I liked when I first quit smoking seems disgusting now. Some of that is probably my taste and smell coming back, some is the improvement and changes in devices/technology, and some is the improvement in the juices. I am sure that we are still at the tip of the iceberg and more is to come.

spent a fortune on different tobacco flavours, went back to analogues for a while, bought some more tobacco flavours and got with it a free sample of tiger blood (strawbery/watermelon/coconut). Absolutely loved it and have vaped 60ml without touching a single analogue. Got some more fruity flavours in the post now. I'm on a quest to find 3 flavours i equally like so i can switch between.

Triphammer T&H is a good tobacco juice. I think it is a steep (tobacco leaves steeped in juice) with some other flavours added to it.

There are a few vendors doing this, there are obvious concerns involved but if you want a tobacco flavour then I don't think you are going to get much closer than this.

EDIT: The longer you vape, the more like tobacco these juices taste as you start to forget what a real cig tastes like, and if you have a real cig it will taste horrible, like the first one you ever smoked.
