Am I the only one getting burned out? Why can't this be easier for me?!?

Yes, the insurance thing is completely, 100%, insane. There's no other word for it.

I told my husband a while back that even if I got without any of my regular supplies here, I'd just go get an Njoy till I could get back to my regular vape. At least those have throat hit and don't taste like pipe tobacco, and they're cheaper by a couple bucks than the Blu's. However, I do still have my eRoll, that I started out with, so that would do even better, in a pinch; at least that way I get the familiar smell, even if somewhat lacking in taste. But I really am going to spend most of that $100 from my mom on vaping stuff -- new clearos mainly, gotta get a PT II mini or three :D and a couple spare iTaste batteries.

I'm also thinking I should also get one of those eGo Twist things, the 1100 mAh, I've found some REALLY decent prices on those on eBay. They use their own dedicated charger, right? Found one of those for like 86 cents. :D Yeah that would be a good thing to have, to use for dry-burning and stuff; I need to dry-burn two coils right now, but don't want to lose the use of my iTaste for the time involved. I know, sad. :D All I can say is THANK GOD FOR E-CIGS!!!!!

BTW, I just noticed you're in Denton... I once knew a girl from there, many many years ago... '79-'80... I asked her once what they did for fun in Denton; she looked at me like I was crazy, and said "nothing." :D

lol, I just sold 2 (a pink and a purple) PT 2 minis! And I have an ego twist 1100 (white, she's very pretty) I was thinking of selling to get some extra money so I can get new cartos lol.

Yea, there's not a lot to do in Denton! It's growing a lot though, always getting bigger, adding more stuff.

I used to have those every single day. Still have them sometimes. I guess asthma is good for something, it *makes* me get up and cough, and that makes me have to tinkle... I think it's *bodies* that are the MOST trouble!

As mentioned, I got several drippers today. Still haven't figured out how to use them; cooking dinner kinda got in the way of "hobby". *sigh* At least the T3S works right... mostly. I'm on my last coil though, so I hope that S.O.S. pkg of them I ordered yesterday gets here soon. Ft Lauderdale to Atlanta shouldn't take too long.

As for that so-called insurance... I haven't chosen a plan and I don't plan to, because I can't afford any of them. Calling strangers up on the phone about business is outside my comfort zone too, so that won't work. Basically I'm still screwed and getting moreso.

Andria

So you dont know or understand what is being offered and are refusing any insurance ? I thought you were broke ? how will you get any care for the health issues you have ? what will happen if your children get sick and you have refused coverage ? Sorry but sounds like you are choosing to be screwed...did someone brainwash you ?

Once you get your first dripper coil working, and it probably won't be the first time you try, it's a huge relief. You know that you'll never be dependent on having supplies of coils and clearos and eGos again. Just the dripper and a mech mod that will go forever, a supply of wire and batteries that will last years and not be banned whatever happens, and a bottle of eliquid is all you need.

I imagine it gets even better when you mix that eliquid yourself.

I have no plans to rebuild anything; they aren't that kind of dripper. I am not a mechanic nor a machinist, nor do I want to be. I like *replacing* coils, not rebuilding them -- let a mechanic or machinist figure out how they're made, it's way beyond my skillset.

I *am* broke, which is why I cannot possibly afford $65/mo, for absolutely nothing. My only child is grown and his healthcare is not my responsibility any longer.

Except that it's the dripping part many of us object too. I want to be able to do nothing but press a button to get my nicotine.

As for the OP's insurance issues, it seem that TX is the problem, not the ACA.

you have a point there. And i must admint that the "have to drip all the time" issue is part of the reason i stayed away from dripping for a long time. But its also not as bad as it seems.
I tought i would have to drip every 2 o 3 puffs, but my forge rdas can fit about 10 drops of juice without leaking. wich gives me about 8 to 10 big puffs. So i sort of get exactly what you describe, "press a button, and get my nic" :)
Without worriyng about leaking, burnt taste, etc.
In contrast, when i used certain clearos (not all of them), all the time i would be constantly upset because it would gurggle, leak, taste funny, etc.

I solved the dripping part of dripping with a bottom feeder ;)

This makes me wonder if it is a last ditch effort of the brain to try and get a smoke. Somedays it does seem like vaping takes a ton of effort. Often say to my wife that I wonder how people do it that are not mechanically inclined. Seems that's all I do anymore is fix, repair or setup mine and wife's vaping gear.

Yes and I am NOT mechanically inclined! lol But somehow I'm the 'keeper' or 'taker carer of' mine, my husbands AND my mother's stuff! It's seriously frustrating dealing with my mom's stuff knowing now matter how much effort I put into her devices or juices (mixing flavors has become my new job), she's just going to puff on it a couple of times and light a cig! As if I don't have enough to deal with! lol Anyway, yea, it's really become a job/chore, I only wish I got paid for it!

Well I sure hope you dont get the flu, food poisoning, twist an ankle badly, have a heart issue that needs watched or any other issue....if you are too broke to pay $65 a month for insurance how will you ever pay $6000 or more per day for hospitalization.?

I'm pretty sure pressuring her isn't going to help.

I'm not trying to offend....just gently pointing it out. :)

Just a quick question. Where did it come up that I have 7 devices? Or that I didn't like my mods, or that I have Protanks or I'm getting burnt tastes? I'm just curious I promise.

The problem I've been having has to do with my carto tanks, not my mods and I don't have Protanks (anymore). I love my mods, I just want things to be easier, I know pretty much ALL of my issues revolve around my carto tanks and  user error.

It's been GREAT to hear I'm not alone though! It's really nice to know that when I'm beating myself up or frustrated beyond words, I'm not the only one lol. I guess I still have a lot to learn!

Do you have a slap yo mama tool or a refilling drip tip for your carto tanks? Those make the job ever so much easier.

This place is a great forum for people going through just about everything you are at just about any point...lol We may not all agree on everything all the time but you'll find kindred spirits. :)

I don't know about the other stuff. Perhaps they're responding to others on the thread?

Personally i dint say you had 7 mods, or that you dint liked them. I did tell you about the protanks. I got the idea that you used them from here:

When I first started, I had the cig a likes like most people, then I moved on to Ego Twists with Protank 2 Minis, but I kept getting a really nasty metal taste and found out it was dry hits and quickly realized that bottom coils weren't for me. I moved onto Carto Tanks and LOVE(D) them, the taste is great and never a dry hit. I have used top coils and they're 'blah', not great, but not terrible, they're usable and I do use them now and again b/c that's what my husband uses and it is easier to test flavors with then a carto, but they're nothing compared to my carto tanks!

Reading it again, i see that i missed the "I moved onto..." part. I tought you were still using them along with the carto tanks. :)

I don't have that exact one, I have one that's a lot like it, but it has the holes so it can be used as a drip tip. When I get a little extra money, I'm going to get the one from Ibtanked.

lmao, that's ok, I was really just curious, I was confused lol. And forgive me, I haven't figured out how to use multiple quotes from different users so I'm 'replying with quote' A LOT lol.
