Am I the only one who doesn't think think the Provari is "all that"?

No, it means that you shouldn't carry $50 bills if you think you might lose them, much less $179 + accessories bills...

My analogy was poor, I admit, but anything in life worth having or worth doing involves the potential for loss; that's just the way it is. No sane person chooses to live in a slum instead of a nice house because it won't be as bad if it burns down, or gets married to someone they're not fond of because the divorce will be less difficult. So why would I choose a PV on that basis?

I have a Provari (and a 2nd coming in the mail, blemished with the extension cap, blue LED and 3 18650 batteries YAY!) and my plan is to not lose them. But if I do, it's only a material thing, and there is never any reason to be attached to material things, because we're currently incarnated as mortals and everything we deal with on the material level is temporary anyway. Meanwhile, I have a great PV.

That's a very Zen-like attitude which I admire, but in the real world we all need our nic, and without a PV we're likely to go out and buy analogs. If money's no object, sure, buy a dozen Provaris and live large. If it is, other measures might be appropriate.

As for the other analogies, a house can be insured and divorces are a b*tch no matter whom you marry. A pre-nup might be useful as well. Now, as soon as Provapes offers insurance and pre-nups, I'm gonna buy their entire inventory.

If I buy a 50.00 mod and it dies after a year I'm not going to get upset because I've saved much much more than that not having to buy ciggys (plus it gives me an excuse to buy something else, lol)
Provaris are nice, well built and by all accounts customer service is wonderful..however I like the idea of having a choice of equipment to use bought from wherever country it may come from :) I bore easy and however storied the Provari might be, it would wind up in a box somewhere simply because I would eventually get bored with it.
I'm just trying to stay away from the analogs - I can do that with most any mod on the market right now.
My issue is finding the best juice delivery system...otherwise, I'm good with my 50.00 mod from China, lol

Yup. When I first got the Provari, my thought was to only use it at home because it's expensive. The problem is, it's also dead-on reliable, durable and roadworthy; so ever since the day I got it I've used it exclusively, because it's best for at home, and best for going out.

That's fair enough. See, we can all get along. But if I had a Provari it would now be somewhere in Anaheim collecting dust in a corporate drawer. That's how careless I tend to be.

I've had my provari for about a year. I don't baby it, I take it everywhere. It's been in 2 countries, 8 States, dropped to many times to count. Guess what it still works & functions just like the day I bought it. Is it the Best PV out there? Honestly IDK. However for me yes it is. For the OP I don't know what you really want to hear? Me personally i prefer to buy quality gear & hang onto it. I don't want to have a ton of PV's I want 1 maybe 2 tops that work like a champ instead of a bunch of Overseas mods that may last a week or 6 months.

The Provari is worth the money ... but so are plenty of other mods out there. Different strokes for different folks. It's certainly not the "be all ... end all" device, but nothing is.

Personally, I'm not even really into regulated mods anymore since I switched to genesis atomizers. If I had to choose a Provari or a Chi-Chi to take with me on a deserted island ... with running electricity to charge my batteries (LOL) ... I'd choose the Chi-Chi. Does that make it a better device? Nope, but it's the vape I personally much prefer.
