I took my banner off, it wasn't working, and I refuse to use one with "....-log" in it.

OK, ya lost me.

A.) I have no idea who or what a Marlo Stanfield is, nor a Stringer Bell, nor Avon Barksdale, although I'm assuming the latter 2 are ECF members (I'd look it up, but God said I couldn't have access to the Member List)

B.) Is this comparison a good thing or a bad thing, or Potato Salad?

C.) Who/What is an Omar, and why should I beware? Is he infectious? Will I catch an E-Forum disease?

D.) but you need to understand one thing: we were here long before you Is this some sort of Old Boys Club Snobbery? Do you get special badges for that?

E.) I'm not really sure at all what you are saying about reading own posts and see what will happen. Why would I read my own posts? I wrote them, I know what they say? If I read them, will I have to respond to myself?

Personally, my hat is off to you, Cloudminder. You started a thread that would normally leave the op mad and stomping off to the corner to sulk. Given a few of the responses, I wouldn't have blamed you. But, with some thick skin and a good sense of humor, this thread has been a lot of fun to read! Thanks, op!

For the record, I'm not a big fan of any of the cool terms associated with vaping. However, they don't really bother me and nobody gives me a hard time for not using them .

Actually, I lied. I hate when people say things like "what're you rocking that kayfun on? I'm rocking mine on a hana mod.....rocking it with some bobas. Rocking a dual coil...." I hate that.

Agree 100%. Cloud Minder is fun, ever since his first post in New Members.

Again, agree 100%. Rocking is what I do when I put some music on, even when it's country! Now that I can [mostly] breathe again, I'm rediscovering the joys of dancing, so I just might get my "girlish" figure back! Rockabilly is GREAT to dance to, so I'm ROCKIN some Dwight Yoakam! Without his hat, he's such a total gooberhead, but he puts on that hat and picks up his guitar and he's like sex on 2 legs!

Hmm, you might as well just accept the term TCM. For better or worse we've been overruled by the masses. I've been fighting it for a while now too and I find my time on the boards becoming difficult. This much stress is simply not healthy.

Just for the record, while I really hate this ... bass-ackwards use of the word "....-log", it's a very compartmentalized sort of hate,and I'm not in any danger of having a coronary over it, especially since I cut out the cigarettes. And call me thick headed, if you will, but I am not going to give up fighting the good fight on this one anytime soon. I'll just look at it as "job security" on the ECF board. ... "Yeah, that's TCM, he's the resident anti-"....-log" warrior."

On another note, while I am new to vaping, AND ECF, I am not new to message boards, and have been involved with them since 2008. I used to be a minor mover and shaker over on CBS's old Sportsboards before they took them down, had quite a following. The main reason for that, is I try to make people laugh, look at things from a different point of view, and not take myself too seriously.

Sure, I want to learn here, but I also want to make people smile while doing so. Looking forward to many hours of learning and silliness.

I mean if all I was interested in was knowledge of vaping, I'd just lurk and read, and if I did that, who would get all the tribbles out of the message board?

Funny thing, just like the Hootie line, "I won't dance, she won't sing" I don't really dance unless it's a slow dance or I've had massive amounts of intoxicants in my system, BUT, I DO sing. Recently (last 5 years) I have lost part if my upper range, and can't sing all the rock songs I grew up singing and love. (There was a time I could hit all the notes in A-ha's Take On Me) Lately, all I could really do well was deep voiced songs, which meant a crapload of country. Now, I'm not a big fan of country, even though I am a country boy myself, it was what I sang, 'cause, well, my other stuff sucked. I just figured it was me getting older.

However, ...

Since I started vaping and even before I quit, but had cut way down on the cigs, I started to get some if my high range back, and this past Friday, I did an impressive rendition of the Eagles Witchy Woman, and a few other songs I couldn't do just a month ago.

I'm stoked!

the watch in my avatar is an automatic mechanical watch that uses an analog display for seconds, digital for hours, and retrograde for minutes. I still call cigarettes just that, or cigs. It takes me a long time for jargon to set in....maybe that's from living in New England....we're not big on change. LOL
