Has anyone else breathed the wrong way and vaped through their nose?

I did that twice last week  and have to say, CMF is not as pleasant as SMILIN Special Menthol going in that way.

Also, is it normal to infrequently & lightly cough after a month - like your system cleaning itself out? (I have allergies that make me do this all the time but is this also an effect of quitting?)

i have never done that but, my wife who doesnt smoke or vape, likes to taste the flavors. she took a big toot of sour green apple, and she coughed and it came out her nose, mouth, eyes and ears. LOL!
sometimes it takes your body a month or more to start cleaning itself out. im betting that is what is happening to you.

If your cough gets worse you need to check how you are cleaning/reusing the cartos if you are doing so. Washing them out and leaving them to air dry can cause mold and other harmful build up, which could lead also to coughing. So if you start feeling a bit sick this might be the cause, try putting the cart in the oven at a warm temp until they dry to insure you don't build up bacteria after your cleaning method. If you don't believe me go get some cotton make it wet, leave it out to dry for a week then see what all has grown on it. So please be careful when you reuse cartos, no one seems to mention this in the videos and instructions for cleaning.

That's a good point but, I refill twice then throw them out, myself.

I'm not coughing so hard anything is coming out of my ears - just a light cough - not even every day that seemed to start when I got vapor in my nose! That would happen all time w/ analogs but didn't 'bother' me (ya right).

It's very weird between breaking out and even (yes I tried 800-nobutts) has pamplets saying to expect to cough after using the patch (which didn't work). Being it's a different way of quitting and, going 1 month w/o that stuff happening, I thought maybe it was just a delayed reaction to quitting.

Now that you mention the cotton, though, I'm going to be more careful if I find an older carto. Could've been one I refilled and didn't use right away. Then again, I'm keeping these in the fridge - everything turns blue and green left in the fridge for a week. ew, yuck - mold?:censored:

...Like wouldn't you be able to taste it?

The fridge is not the best place to keep them. One fellow had his stash go bad from it. I suggest keeping them in a cool dry place. I keep mine (cartos ) in a plastic cross stitching box (it has dividers and is not airtight). on my bookshelf. my liquids are in a small faux suitcase (cardboard) on the same shelf..out of the heat and sunlight.
Yes you can get mold..in months, it doesn't happen overnight. Some of my cartos are 7 months old and have been filled countless times..washed a few times and dried out. P.G. kind of works to keep the mold out. I always check for heavy discolorization..not due to vaping darker colored liquid. DIY liquid wall also discolor the filling stuff. I learned this from when I used a 901 and was forever washing the filler out to change flavors.
I cough or sneeze from time to time with tobacco flavors..they kind of tickle my throat. I also get dried out which makes me cough. Drink plenty of water or juice. Chewing gum or having a hard candy works too. Another thing that makes me cough is higher nic..I am a wimp and only vape 11/10 mg or less.

Does the learning curve ever stop? --- What can happen to them in the fridge, MK?

I've been keep everything in tupperware in the fridge - no problems but just have to wait for things to reach room temp.

I threw out ALLLLL those Vodka washed cartos after my refill disaster and once I can't hear the fizzle sound, I figure they're shot, usually by the 3rd refill. It's also enclosed cotton not an open cotton ball. That's gotta make a difference esp in something air-tight but I don't know.

(it actually wasn't hard washing them out and despite my jokes, the vodka was the only thing that worked on the CMF & WOWboy carts) - the rinsing and air drying works if you don't expect them to work within the same day or several  but, I was so freaked out about it, I just tossed them all thinking I broke them all!)

Just don't get what you mean by going 'bad' from fridge temps. The heat part I get. What it'd do to his juice?

I've read so many differing opinions - maybe now's a good time to leave the fridge half open and let the frezzer defrost?

(and, yes! Drinking a lot of water here. I've been unusually thirsty since quitting. Can't explain craving water but, glad I'm not the only one on that too!)

I just find it strange that after a month my body hasn't gotten all that analog junk out enough. And don't feel wimpy about the mg's, MK. I noticed a slight change and sometimes the some higher mg's just plain make me feel sick to my stomach although they taste great and others need the CoolCarts. I'm all over the place with the mg's and hope in the next month or so, to get all of them lower. I still stealth vape a lot all but the menthol and peppermint. Then again, I was a heavy smoker. It's a big adjustment for me my body is fighting against, sometimes. (I have a shelf full of anti-acids I'm going through like candy ) It's got to take a few months to get used to, imho.

It was an old thread , but the guy had a bunch in the fridge and he said after a month or so they all tasted skunky. I have had some of my liquid 7 or 8 months..stuff I don't vape a lot and it's just fine without being in the fridge.
P.G. is a humicant..they use it in tobacco humidors to keep cigars and pipe tobacco fresh. We vape it so we will dry out too! Keep drinking water.
I don't know about the popping being a sign of a good carto..it doesn't seem to affect mine..pop or no pop and sizzle.
Just relax and enjoy it..it doesn't pay to get worked up. Vaping is supposed to help with the stress of quitting! :D:D:D

Storing the Cartos next to Silica gel packs may also help :)

Well, if you insist - I'm actually more upset on passing on a very cool make-up case on sale(!!) because it wasn't going to fit in the fridge!

I guess I better take this stuff out then and just vape it, then! :)

:vapor::vapor::vapor:

(I'll have more fun when I get my WowBoy - going through Wowboy withdrawls for over a wk, lol! Don't misunderstand - I love the menthol but just not quite 24/7, y'know? Not much in that fridge of mine, anyway...but, I'll try...totally disappointed about that make up thing....)

:vapor:

Thanks for the 411!

As far as the cough, I think it all depends on how long and how much you smoked to clear the lungs and what damage that might have been done by smoking analogs. I smoked for 30 yrs and was up to 2 1/2 to 3 packs a day. I still cough some after 3 mnths analog free but nothing compare to the "hacking cough" I did have.

Why smoke when You Can VAPE!!

The amount of time you draw in the vapor can also make you cough. Too much of anything in your lungs can cause coughing.

I've seen some youtube vids where people vape for over 10 seconds and blow out a huge cloud. I can only take up to four seconds, anymore and I cough... and I was a light 1mg smoker (up to 20 cigs a day).
