Never had a smokers cough when I was on the analogs. I actually think this was from the way I would smoke, the same way I vape now (inhaling into the mouth, then inhaling into lungs). But definitely noticed a difference with not wheezing any more at night. Noticed the difference with my lungs and sinuses clearing within a week of vaping. That still just amazes me. And it keeps getting better.

It varies per person. but it is something to celebrate...this means you body is healing and getting rid of the tar in your body the fastest way it can. But it should not last long. I had that while smoking analogs, but two days after switching to vaping, all stopped. Hang in there, it is a normal process.

Dont know, either i never had this happen, or i just dont hack it up. Ma' always taught me not to spit.

Isn't this a good positive reinforcement thread? Sorta like group therapy guess we could call it SA(smokers anonymous).

LOL dont ruin it! Thats kind of like being the guy in the circle of friends at a party taking time to state how much fun they are having!

This is the one that is getting costly for me. All of those years of breathing with my mouth wide open, I had no idea that I had a tendency to clench and grind my teeth at night. Just had my first major dental bill last week for that one. Oh well, better than a major medical bill for the alternative.

I can relate. Have the same problem and dental bills to prove it too...LOL Mine resulted in TMJ and that is painful...wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Happy vaping.

The coughing is a pain but i figure it will cease in about a month, 16 year analog smoker, then i'll be able to walk up a few flights of stairs without feeling like i'm dying. My husband is still smoking analogs and now that I can smell again ...lord he stinks lol I can't believe i walked around smelling like that for 16 years. My kids are so proud of me and i am too :)

I didn't have the phlem cough but my smokers cough and the wheeze in my chest went away in a couple of weeks. The biggest impact for me by far was when the ability to smell came back. Anyone who smokes now smells disgusting to me. I can detect a smoker just by being within 15 feet of them. This after smoking for 20 years.

Tomorrow will be 1 month for me off cancer sticks & only once about 2 weeks ago I coughed up once some lung butter after I took my bicycle out for a hardcore peddling ride down & around town. Not bad for a 42 year old who had a pack & a 1/2 day habit for 26 years. A good bike ride will loosen up phlegm & get it out if you have any in you that you might not know about. Go for a ride, it can't hurt :) Breathing in and out of my nose these days is wonderful.

So how about the phlem inspection? I assume at some point I should not be seeing the little brown specs anyone know how long that should be?

I coughed up phlegm three different mornings during my first two weeks after I quit smoking...about every other day the first week and one day during the second week. The tar and toxins exit your body in other places, I believe. I know I had ........ off and on during the first month or so, and even recently, without any other symptoms of having the flu, etc. You should be fine after a couple of weeks.

About a week or so after putting down analogs, I went thru a few days wherein my sinuses drained like mad and I was coughing up great gobs of brown-flecked goo. Then, for the first time in decades, my sinuses were clear! It's been almost two months and I haven't coughed or had to blow my nose since then. Every time that I tried to quit cigs before I would promptly get a cold or bronchitis on top of—or because of—clearing out my system. I believe the PG in e-juice has kept me from getting sick! Well, that and not having my immune system stressed by nicotine withdrawal. Switching to vaping is the greatest thing ever!
