That feels like US and European governments are just trying to find a reason to regulate vaping to replace lost revenue from cigarettes?

And while I am ranting; I hope Big tobacco doesn't find a way to lobby small e-cigg companies out of business to put the same crap in juice that they put in cigarettes.

What other reason would there be. Vaping is making for healthier people. That lowers health care costs. Which is obviously a good thing. It is almost like they don't want us to be healthy. Or at least be able to afford to be. Just like how foods that are more healthy for you cost much more than processed food. It ain't cheap to try to be healthy. If by some miracle ......... becomes legal they will tax the hell out of it. Anything they can find to tax they will. If they could find a way to tax air they would.

The cigarette industry got their silver spoon a long time ago... can't go losing it by having some new industry pull it all from underneath their feet!
They may not have the support of the entire country anymore, but smoking a "real" cigarette is still considered all-American.
Anything new is an affront to all that is traditional and sacred in the world. As far as they're concerned. (or at least, will try to convince people of...)

So much comes down to lobbyists and $$$. The bigger the corp the more money they have which means more lobbyists and power. Big tobacco companies have much to loose, then throw in the pharmaceutical companies... healthy people = less drugs. It will be an uphill battle.

MA went from trying to pass a 45% tax to 90% tax.. why such a jump in rate? damned if I know.. talk about a terrible state.
