it was proven that the mod does in fact vent.

As I keep saying (and you seem to be ignoring) MY mod did not vent!

I contacted the vendor and the manufacturer before doing the review, all this was documented in the review and on my FB page.

I don't give a flying monkeys who sends me a mod, if it doesn't vent, it's a pipe bomb and I'll say this everytime.

Feel free to sue me for giving a .... about peoples safety.

All my information is from a worker of the cnc shop I met at a vape shop. The owners son formed a partnership with ameravape in which his fathera cnc company would do all the cam/cad work and design/produce the mod in exchange for royalties/partnership with ameravape. The first run was for 1400 units in which ameravape took 1200 and proclaimed 200 were faulty. The day they took 1200 units they served the owner with a letter that ordered the company destroy the remaining faulty units. They paid the cnc company 30, 000 dollars for materials and agreed on price point of 45 dollars a mod, so the difference is what ameravape still owes the cnc company. To make up for the difference they are trying recoup their losses by selling the remainder of the units to vape shops themselves for 60. For more info just call the cnc company

thanks for the info. now i wonder if Ameravape paid for the 1200 good ones, why is that their bad? i know of no piece work where you get paid for defective product. the shop could have perhaps re-worked the defective units if possible or,built 200 more good ones.it comes out to roughly $21.50 in materials for each unit plus $63,000 in cost of production. or is the $30.000.00 the total cost of the run? doesn't sound like any one is screwing over any body.

obviously you have in the mean time hired a pneumatic expert to test the unit you received to in fact show that it doesn't vent.

Mark you don't have to keep defending yourself to anyone. You had all of your viewers safety in mind. If the people don't like what you say then the hell with them. They don't know what they are talking about and evidently you must as companies are still having you do reviews for them. the only thing Amerivapes is trying to do is make themselves look better. They are contradicting themselves in this video and if you really listen that is all they are doing. They just keep spinning the web and it's getting bigger. Keep the great work up Mark Todd and I for one back you 100% and if people don't like it tough chit as they say..

That to me is the bottom line, and I, for one, am grateful to you, and to any other reviewer who brings this kind of thing to the public's attention.

After all, this is one of the main reasons people watch guys like you in the first place. In a completely unregulated market, the vigilance of savvy reviewers is often the only guideline for safety that people actually have.

:)

So. Yeah. THANK YOU!

It's by far the vast minority that subscribes to that belief Todd. Don't allow yourself to get worked up any more

This is hardly the reviewer's job, friend. Proper venting is pretty damn obvious - even to me, and I'm certainly no expert.

Do you have stock in this craptastic, God-forsaken company, or what? I honestly can't think of any other reason to defend an operation that's clearly slack and sloppy about quality control, apparently risks the safety of it's customers without compunction, and looks to be pretty mendacious to boot.

Keep on reviewing you're one of the best if not the best reviewers out there!
Also none of this would have happen if they acted like a real company would have.

And calling this mod a competition mod is a pure disaster.

for your information i have no skin in this game. i for one cant think of any reason why people are so bent out of shape concerning Ameravape unless they had some ulterior reason. if you are going to make statements about some ones product prove it. being a reviewer will altruistic motives, freedom of speech and,a disclaimer saying this is just an opinion doesn't preempt one from using a little common sense. doesn't any one here ever read the papers? you cant call some ones product basically an IED with out batting an eye and think, whats all the fuss about. defamation is a very real concept in the law. being a reviewer does not insulate one from that fact. i will make you a deal. i will say what Ameravape did was dumb if you say what Todd said was dumb. now i wish them both well.

I believe you, and your review was spot on and warranted. If it's not designed or machined properly, it shouldn't be released.

A simple design flaw that should have been found and fixed prior to release of the product. Romving the button and machining 6 radiused scallops to match the vent holes, and decreasing the diameter of the button by 1/16" (0.03" per side) would provide adequate ventilation. You always want more ventilation than is required to stay in the safe zone.

As I said in another thread concerning this same topic...I have 28 plus years designing and building machines, gages and fixtures. Much of that experience with aerospace. These devices are simple to design...they're nothing more than a tube, a switch, a couple of insulators, and a 510 connection.

I'm a pro vaper, running .009 ohm coils, it's good you have something to look forward to. When the venting in your mod fails trying to be as cool as I am blowing clouds out my ... and mouth at the same time, maybe your hand will enjoy the 3rd degree burns. Financially, I'm really not that expensive for a metal tube, however, when the safety I put so much time and effort thinking about doesn't work - i'm just going to blame the manufacturer. Not my faulty ideals. You know, we are a new company that has been around for less than 4 months, but we make top quality 'competition' mods.

Can't mess with this, 'bruh.'

'Bruh? What is a 'bruh? Did I mess with a 'bruh? (Sorry, I haven't seen "Dudical the Musical" (the delightful story set to song of two hipster doofuses who jump on bandwagons without knowing anything about the band or the wagon), may be 'bruh is a new term from that dudetastic extravaganza) Now that you have 4 months under your belt as expert competition mod builders, when will you start working on relaxation mods? Dedicated driving mods? Hiking and biking mods? Can you work on a bike mount? My mod keeps falling out of my hand when I ride. Come on man! The world needs you and your expertise!

troll? what? did you or did you not have the device you received independently tested? that would certainly put a quick end to this.
respectfully submitted,
mike

You purchase a mod, and it doesn't fire. You contact the manufacturer, and he asks you to have it independently tested to confirm it is in fact defective before they will honor the warranty and repair/replace it.

Fair?

If you don't believe Todd's assertion that the mod he was sent does not vent, then you are calling him a liar, and unlike his assertion based on his testing of a physical device, your accusation is in fact considered defamation under the law.

While Todd may have been better served simply stating that the mod didn't vent, and that it was a safety issue, I think comparing it to crying "bomb" in a crowded area is a bit exaggerated. This is a product that people can choose to buy or not buy. If they already had it, they could choose to use it or not use it. At worst, if they choose not to use it, they lost the money they spent on it. Calling it a pipe bomb is not and should not be as panic inducing as someone screaming bomb in a crowded movie theatre. Restrictions on free speech in cases like that exist to prevent a dangerous situation with people rushing in and out of enclosed areas in a panic. I don't see how or why calling a mod a pipe bomb would create a similar dangerous situation. Those saying free speech shouldn't apply to a situation like this, just as someone can't scream bomb on a plane, could likely use a history lesson on why free speech is so important and why it should not be restricted unless there is REALLY a good reason to.
