Are you actually using carts aka cartridges which push onto or into a separate atomizer?

Or are you using cartomizers aka cartos - a single piece which holds juice and has its own internal coil and screws right onto the battery?

Cart - fill as described above

Carto - you need to go to the site and find the capacity of the cartomizer - how many ml. If it's a stuffing cartomizer then make it take at least 18 drops per ml of capacity (hold a finger w/ issue on the threaded end hole if necessary). Then wait 30 seconds, then add however many more drops it will soak in easily. Then clean it up. Then lay it on different sides to settle. I find 15-20 minutes of settling is plenty for thin juices which are all I use in cartos (like PG w/ 20% VG or less)

NOTE - if this is some kind of huge carto or a big dual coil you may need to use multiple methods to make sure the bottom gets juice. I think you would use a syringe down the inner wall or a carto condom push on the threaded end to get 1ml into the bottom, then syringe or drip to get the other ml(s) into the top. I don't use these.

Good Morning and Thanks you guys! I was talking about cartO's -- still learning the lingo. It's like a whole new language and my hubby and I are old farts -- too old for a new language! We don't even "speak text" yet! :) I bought our e-cigs at vapornine and we're very happy with them but I'm not sure what model they are -- we have both Apex and Apex Monster and a Nebula. Both the Apex models have male end batteries, the Nebula has female, and they're all 2 piece with cartomizers. I haven't been able to find anything on their website (yet, but I'm still looking) that tells the model #'s or carto capacity, but I did find where it recommended about 10 drops, which is about what I'd discovered on my own.

Anyone know what models these are? Found a comprehensive posting with pic's, but I didn't see any size ref, like a ruler in the pics, so still not positive. All help and info is GREATLY appreciated. Hubby has COPD and rarely smokes now that he has the 3-cigs. I'm not doing as well, but still haven't found a liquid I'm entirely satisfied with. Once I do, I think I'll do better, too.

Glad I found you all and appreciate the help!

As far as I can tell from their website, your e-cigs are Joye 510 compatibles. And since your mention 2 pieces, they will be cartomizers.

Basically, what I do with them when they are new is to

(Edith adds: remove battery first =)

- Hold them upright on a paper towel, the battery side facing downwards
- slowly drip liquid into the cartomizer, trying to avoid dripping into the center of the carto
- I will stop when a drop of liquid soaks through the battery side.
- Then wait a couple minutes.

When the cartos are used and I need to fill them up, I will

- Put the carto on a paper towel like before
- slowly drip liquid into the carto until the filler material is visibly wet and soaked, but there should not be a "sea" on top of the filler and there should be no liquid dripping through the battery end.

Try to not vape them completely dry.
