I vaped about 10ml of 6mg juice today. Is that way too much? Based on my math, and I’m mathematically challenged, I think this is the equivalent of 60 cigs. I feel fine and zero urge for a cig, but this just seems like a lot. As of 8 days ago I was a 2 PAD Marlboro light 100 smoker.

Sorry, I know this type of question has been asked before.

Edit: Thanks guys! I start reading things then kind of freak out. No cigs, no cravings, and I feel ok so I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing. I do find myself vaping a lot more because I like the flavors I bought and not because I want a cig.

I've been vaping for close to 10 years now and I go through 30-40ml's of 3-6mg juice/day.
Even at this rate it has to be much better for my health than the 2.5 packs a day I was smoking.
When I started vaping I'd run through 10mls of 24mg a day easily.

Concern yourself more with not smoking than how much juice you use.

Depending on how you vape, as well as the quality and type of nicotine that can be ok, but I am not a doctor, nor play one on TV. Also, I vape far more than that.

You can't really compare ejuice to cigarettes. there are differences in absorption and cigarettes have other compounds plus lots of not so good to inhale chemicals.

Amount vaped varies from person to person. But I don't thing 10 ML of 6 mg is an extreme amount. Some vape a lot more than that and some vape less.

If it satisfies you and doesn't fill wrong to you. Shouldn't be a problem

I vape about 8 ml a day of 6 mg, 48 mg a day. When I first started vaping I was using an eGo clearo mouth to lung setup of 24 mg juice about 2 ml a day, or 48 mg. That was when I stopped a 1 and a half pack a day habit. All that's really changed is I'm using more of a mildly restricted DL vape, and it's all still evened out.

So no, you're not using an excessive amount so king as that's what you need to stop smoking. Of course of you overdo it you may feel crappy with nausea and a headache from too much nicotine but if that's not happening there's nothing to be concerned about.

There is no direct correlation between the amount of nicotine in a cigarette versus vape juice. They're absorbed differently and you don't absorb 100% of what you may inhale. Obviously the more you smoked the more nicotine you may need to suppress any cravings, but it's not a one to one correlation. So as long as that's what you need to stay off cigarettes all is good.

I can already tell a difference, but my goal is to go 0 nicotine and probably still vape because I just like doing it. I just didn’t want to get more nic than I was getting with cigs.

One day at a time. When I switched, I was vaping 10mL of 50mg a day. Now, I vape 30mL of 3. I keep trying 1mg... But back to 3. It's been 5 months, and I'll get lower, one day at a time.

Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

No that's fine....it's not too much and probably in terms of nicotine absorption mirrors roughly what you used to take in with the death sticks.....Congrats on giving up and glad it's working so well. If you get the device right this is what it should be like.....relatively stress free.

Don't forget that vapour is about 95% less harmful than tobacco smoke.....well done :nun:

I vape less ml but stronger nicotine (3-4 ml 12 mg nic) Just curious... what juice and flavors you like?
Congrats on getting off the cigs... it's usually very hard first two weeks. You are doing great!

Caramel pecan coffee (weird, because I don’t actually like coffee and this is my fave), corn bread puddin, and a blueberry blend they make at the vape shop are the ones I really like. I got unicorn milk and mothers milk and they are good, but not as good as the first 3 to me. Also really like Jam Monster strawberry and a caramel custard I just got yesterday even though I wasn’t supposed to buy anymore because I went crazy buying juices.

The first 4 days weren’t fun, but weren’t hard either. So far, this has been so much easier than I thought it would be and I’ve been thinking this is too good to be true. Not giving up and going back to smoking even though I had a freak out last night.

I vape 4 - 6 ml of juice, that is 18 mg nicotine per ml of juice, daily. I've done so most of the three to five years I've vaped now. I have tried going down to 12 mg of nicotine but it didn't seem to keep me where I wanted to be in regards of the effects of the nicotine.

I do not constantly chain vape. There's times I sit and vape five to ten minutes, set it aside a few hours and do other stuff, come back do it again. I don't want to try vaping lower mg nicotine juices and then vaping more juice to "keep" myself "up". So, I keep vaping the 18 mg of nicotine juice.

Folks said once I started using Rdas instead of tanks I would be able to go with lower nicotine juice. Didn't happen, doubt it will. Vape what's right for you.

If that's your choice there's nothing wrong with it. My only suggestions would be to not rush the taper, and keep a bottle with nic in it around the house for any occasion you get a real craving. It's just protection against ever going back to a cigarette because you want a hit of nic.

It isn't. I've been paying attention to these sorts of threads for over 5 years and 50-60 mg of nicotine a day is about average.

It also isn't the equivalent of 60 cigs a day. The "1 mg" (or whatever the amount was that used to be printed on the packages) is the amount absorbed by the smoker, not the amount in the tobacco.

Good on you. Just keep plowing ahead with it and refining as you go.
I quit tobacco while using about 6ml to 8ml of 18mg plus a day and now use3 to 4ml of 2mg or 3mg a day.
Its been 21 months tobacco free.
I play around with nic levels and the amount I vape. I go nic free for 1 to 3 days every 10-14 days.
This quitting tobacco, nicotine etc, after 42yrs of smoking I want to do it right and only once, I want to finish completely and resoundingly. It was a 42yr habit, (longer actually, I did nicotine in the womb and lived in a smoke filled house :) ) Im happy to take my time with it. I think for me stopping the cigarettes was the most important step, I feel like quitting nic can be done at a leisurely pace, if at all.

you just cant compare water and oil cuz both are liquids, the amount of nic you absorb get from the vape and cigs arent related or could be linked, but anyway, we all are here to share and learn, so dont feel silly,

about the amount vaped, consumed per day, i sadly have to confess, i dont measure that cuz i have never vaped the same over days or even weeks, i have no control how much liquid i use since when started vaping also made my blends and stood for a while zero nic, then used unflavored eliquid with 3mg that is mostly the max concentration juice i have tried referred to freebase liquid, with salt nic is the same, started using it like 1 year ago, then moved from 50 to 42, then lowered again to 35 which was not the expected place, finally got quite happy at 28/30MG mark, and use like 60ml per month, compared to mostly 120ml freebase ones, also salt is basically 2 bottles of 30ml compared to like 4 different bottles i use of several different liquids, samples and so i got around the month...

consumption has decreased a lot compared when started due the addiction of nicsalt based juices, i do use a lot more cuz it satisfies me quite much compared to freebase, i did tried different strengths juices with no positive results, saltz were the plus for me.

(weird, because I don’t actually like........)
i dont like real life strawberries, but i love'em on juices and artificial flavors, actually i dont like the real fruit naked lets say, but ceral, icecreams and also the ones that cames on can with caramel or conserved are my top pics too, lol...

Stopping smoking is indeed the goal. Quitting nic may or may not be. It isn't for me.

Well, I do have more nic in the freezer today than I will use in my life time. Im not sure what I mean by *leisurely* at this point.
I spent the last three days on 1mg after a two day nic free period.
I wasnt feeling it, literally. Im back at 3mg today., its nice. Existential crisis begone ;)

Vape as much nic as is necessary (while avoiding OD, of course) to avoid cigs. It's 95% safer. No worries. Nicotine is not the evil, unless you have HBP. It has many benefits that are often not discussed because of the association of nicotine>tobacco>smoking>evil. Good luck with your journey to a healthier lifestyle!

BTW if your SN is indicative of being VFL... Go Big Orange, direct from Knoxville, TN! :toast:
