There's a philosophical line (perhaps derived from Zen Buddhism) that says everything has an occurring nature - that is, we relate to things as they occur or appear to be for us. How something occurs for us is derived from our experience, knowledge and assumption. In understanding how to alter, shift or transform how anything or anyone occurs to us is the source of transforming how the world occurs for you and how you occur in the world.
