You won't believe what I just stumbled across!!!

Anion Aroma Diffuser

Look at the Bottom left quadrant of the picture, see all that yummy vapour coming out?

I don't see any reason why this could be filled with e liquid and smoked straight away without any mods.

Well there's nothing left to do except get one and try it out. I'll report my success or failure in the near future

Not a bad idea!

When I moved from analogs to e-cigs, I noticed a difference in flavor immediately but I liked it.
For a few days I was wondering why the e-cig flavor was so darned familiar though, I know I had tasted this before... then it dawned on me.

It feels and tastes almost exactly like a hookah!

I also started thinking the same thing. This would be ultimately LOVED by people who are accustomed to hookahs. Not to mention, it would be easy to make an e-hookah!

For those who have puffed on hookahs before, isn't that what the vapor from the e-cig reminds you of?

Here is a better link:

This one is NOT usb powered which is a drag but for a e-Hooka looks absolutely PERFECT!

You are exactly right my friend, my first vape was with Turkish Blended and I was struck down at how hooka like it tasted.

This looking more promising the more I investigate. I think I will have to get one of these to try it. Might be just too powerful tho and kill someone unless I use low nicotine liquid.

PS how do post pictures?

Don't think I get one easily here in Australia... maybe in the city when I return in a couple of months.

Well for $30 I think it would be worth a try. These things are designed to atomize water an essential oils so I have a feeling that it might make CLOUDS of vapour if you put e-liquid in it!

And with no worry about heating coils you could play around with mixtures of eliquid, water, VG... you name it! not to mention adding some real flavour!

In fact you could make a liquid extract of Hooka tobacco, nicotine and all and vape in instead of smoking it...

Oooooh yeah! the possibilities are endless!

A Hooka burns tobacco its just that the smoke contains lots of water vapour and is cooled down by the pipe you suck on...

That's not true, a hookah only burns tobacco if you don't know how to use it right, or you smoke it the ancient way, where you put the coal directly on the tobacco.

If you know how to smoke a hookah correctly, and you move the coal around, adjust the air intake valve throughout the session, etc, you do not burn any of the tobacco, it all gets vaporized. Very rarely do I ever end up with any burnt tobacco at the end of a session. When I do, it because someone else has been hitting it too hard or too long, or too frequently, or not moving the coal around, etc.

Do you have any Indian or Middle Eastern friends? Hopefully one of them uses a hookah and they or someone in their family can show you how to use it correctly without burning any of the tobacco so you can get vapor out of yours instead of smoke.

It helps if you have one of these things like what's on top of the left hookah (I forgot what they're called) but it's essentially a vented can that goes over the hookah bowl and keeps the tobacco warm and insulates everything so you don't have to draw as hard to get good vapor, because drawing too hard is one of the ways you burn the tobacco:

My main interest in this is not the Hooka idea but the ultrasonic atomization concept as opposed to a heating coil. I think this has massive potential for regular e-smoking devices

Yeah, that would be great, no more burnt out atomizers. Instead of this you could buy a cheap fog machine and that would definitely work with PG based e-liquid because fog machines run on PG.

Someone posted a similar device to this ultrasonic thing that blew smoke rings from propylene glycol and just ran on some AA batteries.

Hookahs....if used correctly vaporize the tobacco...if you notice the taste of the hookah and our e cigarettes are rather similar. The water is there just to cool down the vapor.

Rlorange I believe Ruyan's first patents were of e cigarettes using ultrasonic atomizers. If I am incorrect someone will correct me. I wonder the reason we don;t see ecigarretes with ultrasonic atomizers is because they didn't work well.

Finally someone who knows something about hookahs.

I would imagine that the ultrasonic e-cigs didn't work that well because on such a small scale the device probablly wasn't powerful enough to produce enough vapor, but for those who don't care how big their e-smoking device is, an ultrasonic device could work out.

Maybe they worked too well...meaning the ats would last a long time and then we wouldn't have to buy ten ats every other week to keep up our habit.:D But seriously, I am one of those that wouldn't mind having a big device that was very reliable for home use.

I stand corrected about the Hookas burning tobacco. Still with a red hot cherry sitting on top of tobacco with only foil between them is generating some serious heat. That sort of heat plus tobacco will still release some nasty nitrousamines and other chmicals, not as bad as actually burning tobacco but still no where near as benign as e-cigartte vapour I reckon. I'm sure there is some Carbon Monoxide in there too...

Ahhh thats what I love about this forum so many people with so much good input! I am keen to try out some sort of piezoelectric atomizer. That smoke ring blower sounds ideal.

Yes I read the same thing about the Ruyan patent. I am very curious to know why it was not deveoped further.
